No 'im sure it's not for the length… indeed, 1.O ref is available in different lengths So ??? the most important is that I could listen 24 bits /96 or 192 kHz

Hi Is someone could explain the limites of a USB 1.0 cable ? I used for a very long time an Acoustic Revive PL1.0 with since several days an estonisch EAR 192 DACute (before that I owned a bundle Antelope Zodiac Gold/voltikus / Worldclock Ocx + Atomic Rubidium 10M). One of my friends uses a dac202 with a mac mini and amarra (2.3 until yesterday) and when we try to connect a bundle of antelope clocks (OCX + 10M), the sound was better, more smoother, and more details in the highs, but when he has to dowload the frequency from 96 to 44.1, there is a bug on amarra. And he should each time reboot amarra. On the contrary no problem when he selects 96 after 44.1. Yesterday he loads new version of amarra 2.4 with the possibility in the set up to select a external clock. But now he hasn't at home the clocks to test it. Has someone any experience with amarra and external clocks. I thank you in advance. Laurent

I wonder if someone has modified his Zodiac + or gold I think that Burson Opamp could be a serious option… but I would like to share with other owners who have tried some mods with succes. I've sold mine gold/voltoikus and after having tested some other brands, I've decided to buy new one with voltikus. And As I owned a masterclcok 10M, I've ordered an isochrone OCX to clock the Zodiac on the 10M.

happy to see that another guy has the same experience with Zodiac Gold / Voltikus. For the moment I use it like you. At this consumer price it's really a bargain. But As the brand isn't wellknonwned in France and coming from professional world. I have difficulties to sell Antelope's products. About the mix product (DAC/pre) it depends in fact of product as usaualy, but for example, one of my client has a Shindo preamp and has bought a DCS player (Puccini in my memory ? the entry level) and the best result is obtained when he uses the preamp function inside the DCS player. And we can't say that Shindo is a bad product. not at all. So to come back to Zodiac Gold, I begin to search high preamp that gives a better listening that Zodiac alone.

For several month, I use the Antelope Zodiac Gold DAC And the first try with the preamp stage of this DAC has been very positive. it's clearly better, but I think it could be better yet with an high end pre. Some weeks ago, I've listened for the first time a AYRE KRX (19500 euros in France) and the result of listening was really estonishing.

I use the Zodiac Gold + Voltikus and I'm really happy with this bundle. directly connected in XLR to my amps. I try to push it and to recommend it to my client… but I know people who like also (and someone prefer)Zodiac + with voltikus. Not exactly the same sound a question of taste

Hi since several weeks I use pm/itunes on my macmini and rhe new Antelope Zodiac Gold but I have sound only when I use Optical input. Nothing with USB input. PM indicates 64bits - 96Mhz If I use itunes alone or with amarra minidemo, It's the contrary. I could use USB input but no more Optical input. It's a mystery and I think it comes from parameters But I don't solve this problem. thank your for your help.

Today I was on a belgium exhibition with few rooms but qualitatives equipment and a small company called Resolution Audio presents its last range (beautifull design). there was a integrated amplifier and CD/DAC player. this one is sold with an option which consists in an adapator USB/RJ45. For the demonstration they use an Macbook and it was very nice. The designer explains to me that he has tested a lot of USB cable to connect his mac to his player but he was always disapointed. So he hasdeveloped his own adapator and could have now long distance between the mac and his player. Of course He doesn't want to say how it was inside the adaptator. I'm sure it"s a good way to improove the listening.

Hello, I use a Mac Mini with 2 external DD (2To) - One for the recopy with itunes and Pure music or amarra mini I will probably buy a Weiss DAC 202 in the next month or an Antelope Zodiac Gold connected to a 10M clock that I already own. a colleague has changed the memory to 8GB and replace the HDD with a SSD card with better result, but I didn't listen his setup.
