  1. I too am getting the clicks when in integer mode. I've tried connecting to each of the usb ports on my mbp and they're always there. This issue has come up before and it was resolved around 1.6... i think.
  2. Looks like the clicking is caused by a usb/bluetooth conflict. If your dac is plugged in via USB and you experience clicking in HOG mode, try using a different USB port. When i checked my system info, i noticed that my USB port was being shared with the Bluetooth USB Host Controller. When i plugged into a different port with nothing else on the bus, the clicking went away.
  3. Do a 'get-info' on the unknown song from within iTunes and see if its info matches the other songs from the same CD.
  4. Found the problem. USB. Located my optical cable and attached that to the MBP and the problem went away. Every time i switched back to USB from digital out, the clicking would return.
  5. USB is clean... nothing else attached. Login items are minimal: bettertouchtool, Temp Monitor, Memory Monitor. Is there a chance the soundflower drivers could be the problem?
  6. Files are stored on an external, bus powered drive, connected via FW800.
  7. Model Name: MacBook Pro Model Identifier: MacBookPro3,1 Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 2 L2 Cache: 4 MB Memory: 6 GB Bus Speed: 800 MHz Boot ROM Version: MBP31.0070.B07 SMC Version (system): 1.16f11
  8. Yep, i too am still getting clicks with hog mode active on beta2.
  9. i wouldn't know... all my alac are 16/44.
  10. it wasn't i who reported to tech... and what i'm experiencing is occurring with or without upsampling and/or memory play being active. Generally the track skipping happens with alac files that are entire sides of albums which i've recorded, but i also experience the same skipping with shorter alac tracks ripped from cd's. what happens is that at some point during playback, the track will be playing fine and then suddenly jump backwards x minutes. From there, it may play the rest of the track fine, or it may randomly jump back again. It does this with all long tracks and is completely random as far as i can tell...
  11. I've always had my energy saver set to never sleep and i'm still experiencing quite a bit of skipping.
  12. "Some tracks on some albums will jump back to almost the beginning of the track and start playing again but only after being about 2/3rds done." I've been experiencing the same issue with .65a. For me, it's usually with extra-long tracks. I'm sure he'll have it fixed in the next version tho.
  13. Just tried it with aiff, alac and mp3 and it was occurring with all of them. However, i just tried something which i didn't do initially and it fixed the problem. Seems hog mode was the issue. When that's activated i hear about 4 clicks per second which oscillate from left to right and change in loudness based on how loud the recording is.
  14. Sounds pretty good, but i'm hearing a random clicking noise when played via usb into my benchmark. Tried all the options and changed sample rate, etc... never goes away. click click click click.
