A one-time file copy. I want to play music that is stored on the Mini's HDD--or SSD if I install one.

Forrest, I had in mind copying the music files from the iMac to the Mini's hard drive. What is the best way to do that?

I am planning to buy a 27-inch iMac, and considering a Mac Mini server as my music server. The iMac will be in my office, and the Mini will be in my home entertainment center in a nearby room, wired to the DAC in my receiver. My plan is to download music and rip CDs on the iMac, and then share the music files with the Mini. I have read that more memory means better sound. To get the best sound, is it more important to buy additional memory for the iMac or the Mac Mini? Or both? Thank you.
