I can't help feeling these naughty people at Apple might have engineered this into the latest AE so people have to use itunes (and their store) rather than spotify and airfoil... well well well.. old AE/Spotify/airfoil/DAC magic/Acoustic research valves/Krell/PMCs - PERFECT. OGG vorbis from spotify encoding great with old AE. New AE today....(lost old one!) maybe 50msec droupouts every 20 seconds. useless. only with optical (which is the whole point...) must be firm/hardware? interestingly - no problem via Itunes, and always perfect through (sonically inferior) AE DAC. Did you ever solve this problem? very many thanks for any help... I suspect possibly something to do with jitter/unclocked AE. Worked very hard on resetting AE to no avail. This is definitely related to something Apple have done with their newer AEs... thanks for any way forward, anybody.... vanya
