  1. Totally agree. I check Chris' site several times per week- more often than I read many magazines or newspapers to which I subscribe. That, coupled with the fact that I have purchased equipment based on Chris' reviews and have surely saved serious money based on his postings, makes me more than happy to contribute to the cause. 2. flacdaddy, I am also a first time poster but avid CA lurker. You might also consider the Drobo FS. I just installed one at home with three WD 1 TB drives. I also have a WD My Book 2TB drive and a Maxtor 1TB HD. I looked at many many solutions...I wanted a network solution that was a real RAID system, but did not have the time to configure and fiddle with a real RAID set up. The Drobo uses something called "Beyond RAID" which all happens in the background and I surmise could be called "RAID for dummies". It's a bit of voodoo to me, and I hope it does its job when all hell breaks loose but for now, it just works. The Drobo FS is incredibly easy to set up and to use- I was in business within 30 minutes from starting to unpack the boxes from B&H! On the down side, the Drobo FS is NOT silent, but the noise is managable. I, too, use an iPad and iPod Touch to control iTunes throughout the house, both wired and wirelessly. Works like a charm. Good luck and happy listening...
