  1. Hi Miska, please excuse my long absence. I was watching videos on YT yesterday and then tried to get HQP to convert my streamed songs to DSD and output them as DSD to my Dac. But somehow it doesn't work. Then there is also the fact that HQP then loses contact with Roon and my integrated Dac. Then I have to shut down the whole chain and restart it. In any case, it's not much fun. It's annoying! I have also tried other PCM filters. I have also tested various dither filters. In the end, I will stick with my original configuration. I can't find anything better! Thanks for your help anyway. If you have any other suggestions, I would be happy to try them out. Oh yes, I have gained one insight from this. HQP is definitely a lot better than Roon alone.
  2. I found an article at Hifistatement: The Forté processes PCM up to 384 kilohertz and DSD128 natively as both a D/A converter and streamer.
  3. Hello community, may I benefit from your knowledge and experience? I have a Sonictransporter i5 Gen3 as a streamer, combined with an optical module and an optical renderer from sonore. Then I bought an Axxess Forté 1 streamer/dac/amp. I don't like to run the Axxess Forte as an all in one solution because I don't like the in house OS. There is no roon certification yet. So I have now connected my external Sonictransporter streamer to the Axxess via USB. At first I ran everything via Roon. But everything sounds a bit too fat. Too much bass and the mids and highs don't sound particularly clear. Here is the 1st question: Does anyone know how I can get a good configuration? There aren't many options in the Roon app. And then I decided to run the HQPlayer via the Sonictransporter. I have version 4.3.3 which sounds much better. My second question is: can anyone help me find the optimum setting (HQPLAYER) for my chain? There are so many possible settings for HQP that I don't know the effects. At the beginning nothing worked at all. Somehow I got it to work again. So I was able to run the HqPlayer via Roon and music came out. I'm pretty semi-talented when it comes to computers and their sensitivities. I would be very grateful if anyone could take me by the hand and guide me. Thank you Roland P.S. My preferred music is electronic, Jazz, Pop, Rock This is my current configuration! Could it be optimized? Roland
  4. Hello Miska, here is the report. After some back and forth with the settings and your Anweisungeg, Restart HQPlayer NAA in the menu of optical Rendu and Apply in the HQPlyer configuration etc. everything is running again. Incredible!!! Thanks 1000 times for this. Now the Christmas holidays can come! I am equipped against the junk on TV and can enjoy instead of beautiful music. So I hope. I am curious whether everything continues to run stable. But for now everything was wonderful. I will also no longer fiddle with it. Thanks again for your help. Attached is a screenshot of the new settings. R
  5. Hi Miska, thanks a lot for keeping an eye on it. I still have a very busy week ahead of me. So it will be a few days before I can put your advice into action. I will report.
  6. So. Here it is! After installing everything looked fine (Pic1). I played a flac file from my libary. It ran (Pic2). Then i wanted to play another song from Quobuz and there was no Music. I checked the CPU system report (Pic3). As you can see the CPU is running wild. I have to shut it down otherwise my sonictransporter is running crazy. I need really help for this. I'm devastated.
  7. Now everything is installed so far. Hopefully i did everything right!! Please correct me if so.
  8. This is the current status without the HQPlayer app. I will show you my screenshots after reinstalling HQPlayer. But this takes a few minutes. THX
  9. Thank you! Look! This is the only thing i found on the OS from the orendu which was showed up named support. Is that was you meant?
  10. Your'e right. So it was. It was. But it also did not work. Maybe i should install HQPlayer from the start. Maybe i did something not correct. But what is strange is that everything after purchasingHQPlayer, login with the liscense key and the installing procedure worked fine. The sound was great. i tried a lot of different settings to figure out what suits me best. and two days later after the update nothing worked from the start. In the meanwhile nothing was changed but the Roon update. And i don't have a clue what's going on. I'm just always trying to make sense of it with my inferior computer knowledge. But first, thank you for your commitment to my cause. Maybe you have an idea what else it could be.
  11. i guess so. Because i deinstalled it after the 1. crash several times and installed it again.
  12. this is my complete digital chain. FritzBox 7530 -> english electric 8 Switch -> sonicTransporteri5 -> sonore optical Module Deluxe -> sonore optical Rendu -> Denafrips Iris DDC -> Denafrips Venus II Dac
  13. Hello everyone, I have 3 days ago the roon update build 1182. And since then I can not run HQPlayer through roon. My sonictransporter i5 (3rd gen) is running formally hot when you see the cpu (pic1) usage. And there was no music running. And on the Roon app in the iPad the music seemed to run when you clicked directly on a song in the title columns. But at the bottom of the timeline of Roon everything stopped at 0 sec. and moved at all. There was also of course no music to hear. Only when I had the HQPlayer APP completely deleted from all devices (Sonitransporter->optictalModule/Rendu; Roon) and everything again only directly over Roon run let the music worked again. My question to the community is: Has anyone had a similar experience and does anyone know the exact cause of this behavior? I just did trial and error. But the reason I do not understand yet. I just have the suspicion that Roon update is the reason. Because before that everything was running fine and sounded great. I'm a little sad and annoyed right now!!! Help!!! P.S. Roon DSP was disabled during the processing of the HQPlayer all the time! Even the day before when everything was still running fine!
  14. Hi Davide256, I bought the Kinki by chance through the FB Kinki group. I had never heard or seen him in real until then. I found him pretty sexy the first time. And so I dared an adventure and bought. It arrived already tweaked with Burson OP amps. And I am very enthusiastic. My old amp (custum build) has no chance against the Kinki. Since EVERYTHING is better! And he has a Remote controll! These are all arguments that impress. But I am still thinking about trying Sparko's OP amps. Would that be an improvement? And thanks again for the article. I will eat the same!
