I was hoping to get a few opinions from the CA folks.I'm looking to add a music server to my modest home system. All of my digital files would be ripped from CDs for now. My system consists of:
Digital: Awia CD Changer > TOSLINK > MSB Link DAC III
MSB Link DAC III D/A converter: Solid-state D/A processor with S/PDIF coax and S/PDIF TosLink digital inputs , one pair analog bypass inputs, 8x-oversampling digital filter, and 24-bit D/A converter. Sampling rates: 32, 44.1, 48, 88.2, and 96kHz.
Analog: Rega Planer 2 TT
Amp: Rega Mira 2000
Speaker: Triangle Titus XS
Music Server Options
Option 1: Convert my main home computer a Mac Mini to music server with digital out cable. Replace DAC.
Option 2: Upgrade generic PC with upgraded sound card, SSD drives and noise dampening. Keep DAC for now.
Thanks
