  1. I have not had a chance to see if this fixes the problems I have had copying files from my Mac to my d-link server but Apple released OS X 10.6.4 today and lists one of the items fixed as "address issues copying, renaming, or deleting files on SMB file servers." I'm pretty ignorant about these things, but is the QNAP an SMB server?
  2. Thanks Chris. I am curious about the answer. Just because someone said somewhere that it was the Mac OS doesn't mean it is necessarily so. On the other hand, I had no problems copying to the same NAS from a Windows 7 machine.
  3. Chris,<br /> I'm curious as to whether you encountered your file-copying problems while using a Mac. I recently had similar problems copying files from Macs running OS X 10.6.3 to a cheap d-link DNS-321. After doing some research, I found a site saying that the problem was with the OS and that the glitch is supposed to be fixed in OS 10.6.4 (the next maintenance release, currently in advanced beta). The site also recommended a freeware program called muCommander, which was able to transfer the balky files.
