1. I'm subscribing for Premium service for the moment. I'm listening via Linn DS (basic model). The sound is more than OK but I'm not the High Definition extremist and Red Book standard (44/16) is enough for me. What I really miss is liner notes and full album artwork. Without this Tidal is pointless for me. I need to discover all this information, learn about people involved in creation process. Not to mention lyrics. I hope current Tidal software is just beginning.
2. Can anyone throw in graphs with spectrum analysis? Is there anything above 20kHz?
3. Infinity Shred: Infinity Shred Laserfang: Laserfang
4. Just downloaded two new albums from Society of Sound. And these are very "nice" examples of loudness war. They are offered as 24-bit but both are very compressed. Dynamic Range of Apparatjik is 8. Charlie Winston: DR....6! What a shame!
5. Just as I thought I always 'feel' that something is missing in case of lossless files (but I thought that maybe I'm just insane . Thanks again Barry. Kind regards, Tomasz
6. Thank you for your advice Barry. I'll check these. Additional question: from your experience, is there a reason to keep files in WAV/AIFF instead of FLAC (I know I loose tagging in that case)? There are separate 'camps' defending each option but I'd love to hear professional's opinion. Best regards, Tomasz
7. Can you recommend some 24bit recordings/albums for disbelievers? Best regards, Tomasz
8. Hi Barry, Thank you for your reply. If Barry says - do audition you fool - it's like Bible for me . I don't give up. There must be high-resolution nirvana behind all this. Linn's Sneaky Music DS is their cheapest offer but even then, 320 kbps AAC live broadcasts from BBC Radio 3 sound fantastic. I'll try to audition more carefully something from HD Tracks / Linn Records / Naim Audio label. Kind regards, Tomasz
9. I was very enthusiastic regarding high-density files. I even purchased Linn Sneaky Music DS. But - to be honest - the same CD played from Sony blu-ray player sounds better (nicer?) to me than the same music in HD via streamer. Every HD file purchase = buyer's remorse.
10. Can you recommend any Mac OS X software which allows grabbing of such m4a stream of BBC Radio 3? Currently I'm just recording interesting programmes with Audacity but it means m4a(stream)>wav(record)>m4a(or mp3) conversions and I'd like to avoid this.
11. It's sad the we've been treated like this by McCartney's business partners. I've tried several times, few mails with links from Topspin and still I don't receive what I've paid for. It's been paid by credit card, they don't answer to my mails requesting refund and I really don't know what to do. How to get my money back?! Do you know any legal way to get Topspin's attention? Don't you think Paul itself should do something about it?!
12. Same here. I've tried download twice with same result. I cannot unzip this. Should I cancel my PayPal payment?
13. VERY promising device. If it is able to play albums with no gaps (e.g. 'The Dark Side of The Moon') - I want one!

Can you confirm if it plays FLACs gaplessly?
