As a keen listener of music, with an extensive collection of both reel to reel (very undervalued as a high quality source) and vinyl (Well Tempered Reference t /t, Transfiguration cart), I recognise that the K100 / K1000 and digital solutions generally represent the next frontier, and I need to get better acquainted with the options. I'm following this thread with a great deal of interest because I get the "simplicity" and "value for money" propositions, but what I'm still left pondering is, what do I need in total to hook into my existing system to generate a better result than I'm currently getting? Clearly that involves hi - rez downloads. What does the total line - storage device, K100 / k1000, dac - look like at a number of price / performance points?
