  1. Grado GS1000i Grace Design M902 Monster 450DCX Digital Coax cable M2Tech Hiface MacBook Pro Pure Music / Decibel / Audirvana
  2. Thanks all for your help. I just bought a Grace Design M902, which is a big step forward for me and my system. I guess there's only one possible weak link in my system now: the digital cable between the HiFace and the M902, a Monster Digital Coax 450 DCX. What can I expect if I would upgrade to a cable in a different league (maximum budget 500 euro or 600 USD)? Can I expect another great improvement or would it be marginal? I'm only willing to upgrade if the difference is an immediate noticeable step, without trying cable A, then B, then A etc. Any thoughts? Regards, Mark
  3. Hi Chris, Thanks for your thoughts, I really appreciate it. I'm not sure whether a asynchronous USB DAC will suit my needs. I need more flexibility, so I can also USD the DAC for my (old) cd player and maybe some other gear in the future. That's why I skip the Ayre DAC, though I read a lot of good things. Best regards Mark
  4. Thanks for all the tips and suggestions. I've listened to the Naim DAC and Lehmann Black Cube Linear, which sounded fabulous. Do you thinking this is a good match for my system, or will there be another weak link? I don't like spending that much money too easily. I also want to consider Graham Slee Solo and Naim Headline.
  5. Hi, This is my first post, I hope that I'm in the right forum and that anyone can help me. I'm looking for a way to improve my system. Now I listen using the next components: MacBook Pro, iTunes, Pure Music, HiFace, Musical-Fidelity V-Dac, Musical Fidelity V-Can, Grado GS1000i. At the moment I don't hear that much difference between this system and my GS1000i plugged into my iPod directly, which amazes me. The difference I noticed when I switched from my Sennheiser HD-650 to the GS1000i was enormous. Much more detail, clarity, as if a curtain before the music was taken away. Since then I wasn't able to improve a lot, and I'm looking for a way to make a comparable giant step. Can you recommend anything to extend (or replace in) my system to get more authority, because that's what I (think I) miss. Or are all the improvements I could achieve just very small improvements? One more notification: I think the difference between a AAC-file bought in the iTunes Store and a Lossless file isn't that big, at least in my ears. I find it very difficult to tell the difference. Thanks for your (quick) thoughts Mark
