Sorry just discover this topic. At present I am using Accourate for DRC. Since my music player ( Jplay Femto ) does not support convolutin , I have to use offline convolution with Accourate NAS (it took several months to convolve my 12TB digital library. So I have two questions if deside to switch to JRiver "Room Shaper can complement any DRC product as it is targeting a different issue (i.e. reducing low frequency decay time) than DRC addresses (i.e. frequency and time domain correction). In my case, I use Audiolense and Acourate. Of course, one can simply use Room Shaper as a standalone VST plugin as DRC is not a requirement. I am using JRiver MC25 as the host for the plugin." 1.Do I need additional software or JRiver ( on windows platform, Windows Srver 2019 ) can handle both Room Shaper and Accourate Filters at the same time. 2. If yes , how powerful computer I need. My siren computer is quite old Athlon II 45W processor with 8 GB RAM

I do apologise, you are right, I did not run AO again after switched to core.I still have to solve the issue with JPlay 6 extreme engine * short 1 second music between songs. How music sound, fantastic. THANKS A LOT

ЈPlay 6, JRiver 20.20, AO 1.31b7, Single PC GUI and Minimal server mode ok (some problems with extreme but that is not related to AO. When I switch to core I was not able to start the music .Meassage with some type of memory error appear. ? I revert to minimal server mode and thinks were fine. Than i run diagnostic tool and sent it to your email address. Any idea. Thanks

My current set up: Sinology NAS>Ethernet cable> Windows based PC with JRiver> EE minimax DAC plus. Set up with Aries : Sinology NAS> Windows based PC with JRiver( in another room )> Ethernet 6a cable >Aries > EE Minimax DAC plus. I will give up of convolution for the moment hoping that with some further firmware reading convoluted file through Aries will be possible. My question is : 1.Can I use Jriver to convert DSF to 192PCM ( what I am doing now)so I can keep my DAC . 2. If answer is yes what I need from software side (using IPad ). 3.Mr Wang of Auralic has written on one of the Aries threads here that they are going to add support for a few other devices, such as the Mytek 192 DSD DAC and the old M2Tech hardware that need drivers. Then those will work over USB also.Does my DAC belong in this category. Thank for you patients with my uneducated questions , bvut I am not really computer guy.

Next question was probably answer somewhere in the thread, but I cannot locate it. So will I be able to play DSF and DFF file via SPDF streaming from Sinology NAS. I dont mind if PC have to be in the chain since PC and NAS will be located in another room. Something like Synology NAS>PC>Aries Thanks

Thanks to all for your sugestions. firedog : It was mention on this thread ( I think ted_b) that JRiver can be used as UPnP player. So due to my poor knowledge I assume wrongly that this way convolution file can be pass through Ariel and played . Regarding 2 PC set up, you are probably right but if I want to go full way with linear PSU and all other bells it may cost up to 3500$ for 2 PC plus app. 1800$ transport an customs fees , so that is 5300 $. Too expensive for me. Yes I know there are cheaper alternatives, so I will wait Chris article about Caps 4 design. Whatever Linux related is just above my " grade" , so that is last acebtable option for me. So maybe Mr. Wang Xuanqian will be kind to reply to my question, if in some further firmware release Aries will be able to process convoluted files. Thank you

Digital Room Corection and Aries Well, “ audio nervosa” is at full swing with me at the moment. Despite being healt professional and having free access to few good psihijatrist their input for now is zero. So I am considering upgredreding my current setup: 1. Synology 411+ with 4x 3TB music in RAID) in another room connected directly (no switches or routers) with 7m CAT 6 Ethernet cable to mu single PC in my leaving room. 2. Single PC with PPA card (unfortunately hardware wise PC is not optimized, still two fans, no linear PSU etc.) connected via usb to EE Minimax DAC Plus( with Burson opamp upgrade).DAC is nod DSD compatable and I play all formats by downsampling in J River. 3. Software : Windows server 2012 R2, JRiver MC 20, Acourate DRC, Audiophile Optimizer in core mode. 4. DIY room treatment, four bas traps and all reflection point covered (SQUARE ROOM!!) Upgrade options Option A: to add usb/spdf convertor like Audiobite Hydra plus with linears PSU Option B : to replace the PC with Aries ( et least in the living room ). DRC with Acourate play important part for me , at least to my ears so it’s important to me to keep this functionality. To my understanding one way is to online convolute part of my music with Accurate NAS – offline convolution program and save it to external HD which I can connect to Aries USB port. Questions : 1. “It is actually simpler. Leave your music on your NAS connected to your network. Use Jriver on your PC - setup as your UPnP server - and point it to your music library on the NAS. When you run the Aries, it will see the Jriver UPnP player. You can run playback from the Aries, and the files will be streamed to it from your NAS by Jriver on the PC. This setup can play all formats.” In this configuration can I use and select all the functionality of JRiver so convolution will work . I don’t mind if the PC need to run since will be in another room. If that is possible I just need to buy Aries. 2. If I use ofline convolution with Acourate NAS will aries be able to read these file from external HD ( I may letter prefer this combination despite additional cost , (software, external SSD ) if works well. 3. Would combination A rival B At his point I would not like to replace the DAC. If there is simple solution how to incorporate DRC and Aries I am all ears. A apologies for such a long post but in my country hardware choices are very limited and for every piece of hardware I pay at least 50% more than in most countries ( transport , custum fee), so I have to be very careful to not make some unexpected mistake. I am eagerly expecting ted_b report and afraid of his conclusion that highly optimized 2 PC set up (hardware and software wise) will give the best sound since this option is too expensive for me. Thank you for the torrent 2 questions. 1.Is the speed of USB drive important. I bought Ultron 32 GB nano USB 2.0 ( just because of small form factor ) but with very modest read/write speed 12/4 Mbs/sec. 2. I am using my HTPC for watching video also ( streaming from computer in another room) with JR 18. Is this possibility preserved. Thank you
