Hi All, As title states - Jack Johnson's universal albums are available as 24/96 FLAC files from https://www.highresaudio.com/artist.php?abid=213428 (click on the discography to access the six albums). I've downloaded 'To the Sea' - the DR values seem to be similar to the CD version, so no remix/remastering, it would appear: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Analyzed folder: /Users/robgoodison/Music/To The Sea ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DR Peak RMS Filename ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DR6 over -8.30 dB 01 You And Your Heart.aiff DR8 -0.00 dB -9.62 dB 02 To The Sea.aiff DR8 -0.00 dB -11.05 dB 03 No Good With Faces.aiff DR7 -0.00 dB -9.35 dB 04 At Or With Me.aiff DR13 over -16.15 dB 05 When I Look Up.aiff DR8 over -9.02 dB 06 From The Clouds.aiff DR14 over -17.12 dB 07 My Little Girl.aiff DR9 -0.00 dB -10.79 dB 08 Turn Your Love.aiff DR7 over -9.10 dB 09 The Upsetter.aiff DR8 over -9.58 dB 10 Red Wine, Mistakes, Mythology.aiff DR8 -0.00 dB -10.19 dB 11 Pictures Of People Taking Pictures.aiff DR13 -0.00 dB -16.17 dB 12 Anything But The Truth.aiff DR8 over -9.71 dB 13 Only The Ocean.aiff ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Number of files: 13 Official DR value: DR9 ============================================================================================== Spectrum analysis of 'Red Wine, Mistake, Mythology' is:

Anyone have the Pearl Jam downloads from HDtracks?
RobGoodison replied to wgscott's topic in Music Downloads & Streaming
Half on/off topic - has anyone purchased the Studio Master Ten Redux version from Qobuz? It's listed as 24/44, whereas the HDTracks version is listed as 24/88. If you have purchased from Qobuz, what was the sample rate of the files? -

I find a number of 'Doug Scripts' invaluable for maintaining my iTunes Library, usually for editing metadata: 1. Put Track Prefix to Track Number - for when tracks aren't tagged with a track number, but the names of the files contain the track number. Select the files, run the script - bang - track numbers entered at a click of a button. 2. Artist to Last-First - I prefer solo artists to be organised by their surnames - so, for example 'Jim Guthrie' displays as 'Jim Guthrie' but he is sorted as 'Guthrie, Jim' - so I find him under 'G' rather than 'J'. 3. Remove n Characters from Front or Back - enables the mass deletion of information from the name, when files are tagged as '01 - Jim Guthrie - Morning Noon Night - Days I Need Off' - I can select multiple files and remove what I do not need. 4. Search-Replace Tag Text - I can batch replace data as necessary. 5. Copy Tag Info Tracks to Tracks - useful for copying metadata from one set of files to another. 6. Proper English Title Capitalization - enables consistent file naming across the library - replaces And/To with and/to etc. All these scripts are free, although I have donated, as these have saved me so much time, particularly of late, when I've restored lossless files to replace M4A files. -
Very genre specific. Disappointed not to see Kaki King on the list - phenomenal guitarist.

Bonnie 'Prince' Billy - Master And Everyone. Radical Face - Ghost. William Fitzsimmons - Derivatives. It's been so long since I've managed to listen to three albums in an evening.

The Deep Dark Woods - The Place I Left Behind Elliott Smith - XO

If you access Keychain Access Preferences, and head to the Certificates tab - leave OSCP as 'Best attempt' and set CRL to 'Off'. Quit Keychain Access, and try the App Store again - see if the SBOD disappears. I had issues with the Mac App Store in both Snow Leopard and Lion, and making this change makes the whole Mac App Store experience much better - more responsive and no SBODs. I switch CRL back on when not using the Mac App Store - having the Keychain status in the menu bar helps (Keychain Access>Preferences>General).
