  1. Dear All, I went with the Halide Bridge usb to spdif. I did the comparision with USB stick and cannot really find a difference. Once again I want to thank everyone for their inputs. A very happy camper here!
  2. Thanks for the input guys, will try to demo the HiFace if its available in India.
  3. Love your name mate!!! alas I have been able to plug the dac as I am moving houses and will only do so early next month. Thanks for the advice. But the dealer told me to get best and budget permitting a usb spdif interface. I am very confused now!! by the way thanks for your advice. Thanks mate
  4. Dear Elf, All of my music is ripped CD,s given that is there much difference between the halide and wavelength?
  5. Thanks mate, I will look closer at the naim forums. 24/192 is not important but I would like to buy the best kit. Plus I can stretch my budget up to the wavelength. Thanks
  6. I finally got my Naim DAC. My question is now about the computer to DAC interface. My two options are the Halide Bridge and Wavelenght audio. I am not looking at the M2 as the dealer that sold me the DAC say he has not heard good things about that combo. I am in India and will not be able to demo the equipment. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks
  7. Sorry if i am missing the obvious here... but can I am wondering if the mac mini with the hiface will know where to send the audio to? The reason for my concern is that I am in India and it will be hear impossible for me to test stuff before buying it. For example: when I play itunes I want the sound to go thru the Hiface unit and when I play avi or divx content thru the mac's optical output. I will do the cabling accordingly but will the software be smart enough to realize it? Once again thanks guys Tarun
  8. Thanks a Ton!! Will look into the Hiface device.
  9. Dear Chris, First of all, thank you for this amazing site. It is probably one of the best I have come across in a long time. I now have all my CD's ripped to aiff thanks to all the information you have listed. My question now is I plan to get a mac mini for the front end and use the optical out to a Naim DAC. It does not have any usb inputs, so optical is my only way. My problem is that going forward I want to also use my mac mini as a htpc, with an optical out to my receiver. Is there anyway I can split the optical output signal from the mac mini?? Many Thanks in advance Tarun
