  1. Thanks much Frank. I'll certainly sit down with the doc. Much appreciated.
  2. I recently played around with the PM, Amarra, and Decibel players. My typical setup is Itunes into a Wavelength Brick. A couple observations...First, none of these players handle gapless playback with the expected level of integration with Itunes. This, by itself, eliminates all of them from consideration from my point of view. I simply do not understand what is so difficult about getting these bits thrown over to the DAC without getting in the way. Second, at flat 0db gain, the Pure Music player introduced significant distortion. Disappointing. In addition, if you quit Itunes prior to quitting the PM player, it (the PM player) abnormally terminates with an unexpected error. I gotta say, this thing seems like junk to me. But beyond the functional limitations, I do have a question I am hoping someone can help me with. As I said, I have a Wavelength DAC. The claim to fame is its asynchronous USB, providing the authoritative re-clocking of the bits, thereby eliminating the sensitivity to the errors introduced by cheap computer hardware and bad player software. When I listened to each of these players, I literally heard no difference whatsoever in the presentation. No difference in clarity, high end, mids, low end, no difference in image, soundstage, nothing. I expected to hear something given all of the opinion on how any one of these would be better than iTunes. Do you think the asynchronous USB approach effectively takes the quality of the player completely out of the equation? I assume this is the case, and am therefore thrilled to validate the claims made by Gordon on his device. Anyone else experiencing what I describe here?
