  1. Chris, thank you for the recommendation.Very enjoyable and a change of pace for me, which is what I was looking for tonite.
  2. If it's about the SQ, this is a step in the right direction. Very clear and lifelike. If it's about the involvement the musicians create by their virtuosity; it's very good. If it's about the music; it's not my cup of tea. But, thank you.
  3. So, I'm listening and playing with 1.8. Sounds great to me in my setup. I've been making changes to the system so my baseline isn't stable, but the sound field sounds more open. Maybe my imagination. But, it sounds as real as ever. The "curation" provides many more options in terms of threads of similar music and options for exploration. The layout is cleaner, a definite upgrade. So, thank you, to the developer, for improving your life's work.
  4. It's not fragile to understand what people are really saying when they communicate. No one cried, no on'e feeling are hurt. Not fragile; just pointing out what he was saying. Do you like sites that devolve into flame wars?
  5. Thanks Barrows. My other point still stands; it's pretty amazing that some/many of us don't know what this is without someone more deeply immersed in the hobby at a professional level tells us.
  6. I thought and still think, perhaps incorrectly, that it's a transporter, more SCG's sonic transporter with ripper, not Sonore's Rendus. Chris, you have to appreciate that your readers have built fairly sophisticated digital systems and within the group different people think this product is different things. I think it's pretty funny.
  7. Ok. I reread it. Got it. I'd gotten to thinking about using a v g DAC I had here and lost the thread.
  8. I am in way over my head in this, but: Though Roon can change 2 in to 4+ out, it still needs an 4+out dac? Or what am I missing? Thank you in advance.
  9. I was using the power supply that came with the ST. I could only guess that the JS-2 would be better... since as we upgrade power supplies we all seem to experience increased SQ.
  10. The ST and the JS-2 are currently on the floor next to the other gear, which is in a rack. The JS-2 is only feeding the ST, at this time.
  11. Alex and John. I keep wanting to write and tell you about the true jump in 'this is real 'that the JS2 has created by driving my Sonic Transport...but I have a hard time not just listening to CDs I've been playing for years and am now hearing intention and emotionality in ways that are new and that create goose bumps. I can never thank you enough for the pleasure your products have and are bringing me as I listen to my system. I get it that I owe a debt to Hegel and Atma-sphere and Sonore, Magnepan and Analysis-Plus and Small Green...but your products seem to be the magic sauce. Please keep it up. I'm looking forward to your next product. Stay safe and again, thank you. Gordon
  12. I don't think most people appreciate what you keep trying to teach them...re the noise being kicked back into the mains.
