  1. Hi all! I'm new to this forum, and I'm planning to set up a system for streaming music stored on either my PC or a stand alone Hard Drive. I'd like to add that I'm not a wiz within this field and there might be some factual errors below. I've read reviews and articles on Sonos, Squeezebox and various other streaming solutions. Sonic performance (audio quality) is no.1 priority along with the convenience of not having to start up PC or Telly in for listening purposes. It seems as if Sonos along with the Squeezebox setup are the most popular ones for sonic performance, while other solutions may attract users with video as preference. However, I have a few concerns regarding the solutions mentioned earlier and their sonic performance as some owners as it seems have added a dac to their set up. Btw, my setup is as follows: Amp: Advance Acoustic MAP-105 Speakers: Tangent Clarity 8 My questions are; Would an external dac, e.g. DacMagic improve the audio quality of either the Sonos (ZP90 - which fulfill my needs) or the Squeezebox Duet/Classic? I'm familiar with Airport express, WDTV, popcorn etc., but are there any other solutions for streaming audio between NAS, PC or HDD to amplifier with HQ audio quality? Is a NAS a better choice for transporting music to my amplifier than any other sort of HDD (e.g. Samsung Story (which got the looks and fits perfectly near my amp)? Finally, is there anyone out there who owns or is familiar with Advance Acoustic products in general and the Advance Acoustic MAP-105 in particular - someone who could advice me on how how this system performs when connected to a media player or a dac? Any input or thoughts are appreciated. Regards
