  1. Great news !!! Will it work only with the desktop app or also with the IOS/Android based phones/tablets ?
  2. ... Except of course if it's "burn before reading" 😅
  3. - S/PDIF and USB works perfectly whatever is resolution coming out from the Mac Mini or my MacBook Pro - Streaming from Audirvana installed on the Mac Mini to the SU-R1 through its RJ45 works perfectly whatever is resolution. Why streaming the same hi-res song directly from the Qobuz server to the SU-R1 through its RJ45 doesn't work the same ? Are Qobuz hi-res files fully compliant with DNLA basic standards ? Technics is indeed unacceptably irresponsive to my requests and I feel alone and isolated using that system. I start to wonder if I'm the only human having bought it !!!!
  4. I'm not having a judgement about Qobuz which is my main source of music for several years ... I'm just trying to understand what can happen in my reading problems : why is it working seamlessly with standard resolution songs and not with high resolution ones ?
  5. One of the culprit is probably the Technics streaming card. But I'm also questioning that Qobuz issue since the DNLA output in the Qobuz app. doesn't (yet) work seamlessly with several streamers. I wonder and try to understand if there is a special formatting/encoding of the raw Qobuz flow which makes some streamers more sensitive to reading problems ? Audirvana apparently reformat the Qobuz flow and make it more universally readable ... isn't it ?
  6. I made several checks and the speed of my internet connexion or home network are not the culprits ... I rather suspect a bad implementation of DNLA/UpNp standards by Technics .... which generate some kind of incompatibility with Qobuz (or Tidal) Hi-Res streams ....
  7. Synology router with double connection (4G + ADSL) to my ethernet (cat 6 wired) home network and to the RJ45 input of the SU-R1 through an AQVox switch. I try to control it through mConnect on my iPad but it doesn't work with Hi-Res songs. It works well when I feed the SU-R1 with Qobuz through a Mac Mini and Audirvana. My frustration comes from the fact that I should not have to pass by a Mac or anything else but rather stream directly the Qobuz flow to the SU-R1 streamer and control it only with mConnect
  8. I see by following this post that some Qobuz specialist are ready to help .... And I need help ! I own a superb Technics SE-R1 +SU-R1, its SQ on my B&W 802D3 is sublime. But, the SU-R1 is not able to stream Qobuz (my favourite source) songs when in higher resolution than standard (16/44). All Hi-Res songs blocks, lags, pauses and restarts. I'm fighting with Technics for a year, without any success nor response but a short answer stating that "Qobuz flow is very high !" I'm quite surprised that a so called Reference streamer is not able to read Qobuz (Tidal the same) songs in Hi-Res ! Could a Qobuz technically knowledgeable person explain to me why Qobuz flow would be so "special" according to Technics sayings ? All other streamers I know from 100$ to 100K$ read Qobuz Hi-Res songs without any glitches .... Is there also around someone with relationship with Technics who could help them to move and respond ?
  9. Where could I find a simple presentation of the various effects of the SoX filters ? So far, despite my friends Google & consorts, I've not been able to find one. I have seen a big improvement of the SQ by using DSD upsampling on my DLNA Technics SU-R1 but I'm confused about these filters and the A to C Delta-Sigma ones ... How to revert to the standard settings ? Thank you in advance !
  10. BTW, does anybody know if Bubble UpNp control app. is due to become compatible with iOs devices ?
  11. So what is the use of all these cache folders I've found in the Qobuz folder ?
  12. So, if I have well understood all of these interesting posts, the culprit of my problems is definitively the Technics SU-R1 network player, which apparently, alike several of its congener, is unable to read directly url's of Hi-Res tracks from Qobuz (despite it works seamlessly with Std-Res tracks). The Qobuz app. is working like Audirvana or Bubble UpNp or other UpNp servers and is caching the flow of music to allow better compatibility with these Hi-Res tracks ... Then mConnect will not work since it is addressing the tracks' url's directly to the player ! I feel less stupid about UpNp and streaming today : thank you all for your explanations.
  13. The idea of a cache seems to be confirmed. I've found a 4 Gig Qobuz folder in the ~/UserApplication/Library/Application Support/Qobuz with several cache folders ...
  14. If it is verified, I then have to change my mind on the problem : the flaw would then be with the Technics SU-R1 network player ! Pitiful for such an high end device called "Reference" ... Hope some Technics people are reading !
