You would need some sort of USB to spdif adapter. How are you trying to connect it?

Thanks for the reply I just noticed that the resolution for the USB connection is limited. Unfortunately that's how I wanted to connect it to a mac mini. I can't imagine why they did that.

Has anyone had a chance to use the Hegel HD10 DAC with a mac using USB? If so what were your impressions? TIA Joe
