I think, Same converter mytek 96 same interface int202, two cables: spdif and xlr aes/ebu 110 ohm. The diference is notorious. So the type of cables must be one reason. The other the cable per soi The aes/ebu Silensecable/Heavans gate as 6 shields in silver,and so on.... Of corse is a major inprovement to the Qed one Spdif cable.to see if a different type is sufficient I must experiment one AES/EBU in the same league as Qed one.I have tried one Audioquest on the spdif input and the difference sems to me not so huge but signifiant.

Nicholas, I thank you your advice for buying cables on ebay. And inspired for your sugestion I have made one comparision between the Silence cable digita xlr link and the qed one spdif. The Weiss int 202 as spdif and xlr digital outputs simultâneous. And the difference is huge, the spdif is dry,no flech,is as there is only alf the music the Xlr is rich and the spdif is poor, if I can explain me.I can't at this moment make specifications the difference is so huge it's inpossible to like the spdif sound once know the Silence cable sound. I am surprised.

Hello, Thank you to all that have post here. My setup now is Olbach firewire cable Weiss int 202 interface, Heavens gate digital cable xlr (silencecable)Mytek 96 stereo DAC, Cardas headphone cable Sennheiser HD 650 headphones. I am lintening from the Internet Archives one Grateful Dead show wich transcription was made in one Apogee mini dac 24bit 48khz. As a Grateful Dead fan since the early years 70's my first impression is that the openess, precision detail and air that involves the music is very good, as some years ago wen I lintened the first time with the Sennheizer hd 650. I am very happy with the result for now,I must listening more files in the next days to conclude.

Hello, I am aweiting the Weiss interface and I am thinking to buy one AES/EBU interface digital 110 ohm or one spdif 75 Ohm but I don't know wish is best and if it is one importante item to improve sound. At present I am using one Echo audiofire 2 in the Myek 96 and Sennheizer hd 650 and QED one spdif as interconect between the Echo and the Mytek. Thanks for this forum, José

Hello, I am new here and my english is poor. I listen to Classical Archives wich I am a subscriver and my audio card is one Echo Audiofire 2 wich I use in the PC and laptop. Infortunately in the laptop I can´t read the files from Classical Archives, and some other files don't play in the Echo, others play, but those that don't play on the Echo some times play in the laptop feeble speakers. I am very pleased with the Audiophile computer foruns are very instructive. Best regards you all, José
