  1. Discovered that Audacity 1.3 did not allow me to record on my MacPro. 1.25 was more accommodating. Have tried recording a couple of LP's with less than good results. Changed out all the wires, grounded everything, tried the effects consule in Audacity and not right. Sounds like a dirty needle that know don't have. Played a LP recording and it sounded great, so don't think the playback part is the problem. The spectogram on the good playback look similar to the crappy sounding recordings recently made. Assistance would be much appreciated.
  2. Just hooked up to an old Windows laptop and the record level shows and can be adjusted. Not clear why Mac would be different or at best obstinent. TF
  3. Find this an embarassing post, but feel stuck. Have a high end stereo and want to transfer large number of LPs to computer. Have a dedicated MacBookPro, great turntable etc. Turntable is a Well Tempered to an AR preamp to a NAD M-3 integrated. Bought a Behringer (UCA 202) for interface. Have several programs to import and clean the import, but can't seem to find a way to adjust the import volume level for adequate storage. At the end of the day, not sure if have a hardware or software problem. Any assistance much appreciated.
