  1. Hello bobfa, a big thanks for this article, I really want to test atmos, and I’m ready to buy an Apple AirPod max, but I would prefer to use my senn hd800s, would any dac work by being connected to my MacBook Pro M1 Max ? Thanks again!
  2. Hi Marcin, No, it didn't help during my tests, it's more like if the app and the Meitner weren't synchronized. JPLAY considers the song playing isn't complete, however, it is! A few seconds remain on the JPLAY progression bar when the song stops playing on the Meitner. When JPLAY considers the song played, the next song start without issue.
  3. Hi Chris, Thanks for this article. In my tests, I prefered Jplay sound compared to Roon, but an issue annoyed me, it takes 5 seconds or more between two tracks with Jplay on my meitner ma3 unit. So I continue to use MConnect control, gapless playback is perfect and the sound is better compared to Roon for critical listening. Even if the interface of Jplay is far far better, really Good job indeed, the delay between two songs is not an option for me. Cheers,
  4. Hi mitchco,

I'm wondering if my system could benefit of your services.

    I'm using a roon server installed on a M1 mac mini 8Gb, feeding a Meitner Ma3/Nagra PSA Amp/Egglestonworks Isabel Signature/REL Carbon Special.

My room isn't dedicated and the few maesurment I've made shown me an horrible curve.

Tell's me if your company could help me considering my system!

    Cheers,

    Fred (France).

  5. Lucky man. I understand now why you chose a grey center channel!

Hi Jussy, I've a question for you. I'm using a Meitner ma3 dac, this dac can play DSD128 through USB. When I'm using it directly via HQPlayer desktop on macOS, it works like a charm (DSD128), but when I'm using it through NAA on macOS (on a second unit), only 384K PCM can be played. NAA says when it starts that my unit supports DSD at any base rate, but I didn't find out how to use it. Am I missing something or needs a specific option in my preference? Thanks for your help! Edit: under macOS, NAA do only 16 bits 384KHz. Under windows with ASIO driver, NAA can do DSD128. It's seems to be an issue with macOS NAA on my system.
  8. Hi Chris, Yes, I’ve already read it! Thanks a lot for that. I love my unit more and more each day. In my experience, the ma3 needs to be well isolated and damped. I’m using a french solution named centaure crios. With Crios the ma3´s sound is much smoother and reveals a lot more harmonics. I just can’t figure what a dv2 can do more than a ma3. I am waiting for the jplay app like a kid on christmas morning, going each day twice on the jplay forum to see what’s new. Kind regards, Fred.

I’m limited to dxd or dsd128 with usb, and internally the meitner converts everything to dsd1024. For you the best option would be dsd128?

Hello Miska, First of all, thanks for this version, it works perfectly on my M1 8Gb Mac mini, even on DSD128 asdm7ecv2 and ext2. As I’ve changed my system recently, I would know if you have some advices regarding a Meitner MA3 unit who upsample everything to DSD1024 internally. Thanks for your help!
  11. Hi Chris, thanks for your stuning article as always! I see that you have a ma3 unit under review. As I’m testing it right now in my system, I’d love to have your feeling about it. My plans are to feed it with roon or jplay iOS (and my M1 iPad) through network and directly plug it on my old nagra psa. regards, Fred from Toulouse (France)

Hi Jussi, I really love poly-sinc-gauss filter, on my setup PCM/NS9/192, voices are much more natural than with ext2 or ext3 and I didn't lose any details! Thanks for it, this filter is a top choice for me!
