  1. Hi Phil, I installed JRiver latest ver.24, 64 BT on my server 2012. Works fine. But Service Tool can't find JRiver as a shell replacement requesting to install it in default directory. It's in GUI mode. Core mode of course the same. Before that I use Jriver ver.23 with no problem. Is there any work around? Thanks and regards, Boris.
  2. Hi Phil, As far as I understand looking at event log, the problem resides around Software Protection Program, which stops working after licensing evaluation procedure failed to set up evaluation counters to the next day. And this is, probably, the reason to stop JRiver at the certain point in a few minutes. JRiver (ver 20.0.087) doesn't hang - just waiting. It will hang if I am trying to do something. If I don't touch JRiver, after reboot, even in Core mode, everything is OK until the next license checking procedure - at list I think so (I might make a mistake - not really clear!) Strange thing - it happens only with my new Young DSD DAC I bought recently. With old dac - Micromega MyDac it doesn't happened at all (I put Micromega MyDac instead Young DSD to my system and it was playing non stop for couple of days.) Note1: Everything - Win2012, drivers, AO are installed from scratch with same DVD ISO I use for installation 6 months ago (can't figure out how to make USB/ISO with win 7 tool). Another scenario: JRiver continue to play - I am able to see indicators moves in the top bar but top bar displayed volume as N/A in the bottom line and don't displayed rest of information like time, track# etc. After I press Stop, JRiver doesn't hang. I press PLAY with another album and it works but just displayed as with previous instance: Volume N/A, and of course no sound. After Reboot all is OK until next event happened in a few hours same day or next day. Note2: I could see that after something like that happened the 'left days counter' in the bottom right corner of screen (if I in GUI mode) updated to -1 (ex. 177 to 176). Do I need to check any particular place in win event log? Note3: I also checked Young DSD dac from my desktop PC. It works without any problems for a few days. Any comments will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance for all invaluable help of yours, Regards, Boris.

  4. Hi Phil, Thank you very much, will do. Regards, Boris.
  5. Hi All, I think I am in the right place to ask. Running AO with Win 2012R2 evaluation (second time - install everything from scratch a few days ago) in Core on single PC: I3 processor, Gigabyte Z97W mobo, 8gb ram, PPA USB card V2, HD Plex PS, SSD Samsung for OS, separate SSD Samsung for data, JRMC latest version. PPA USB V2 to M2TEC Young DSD (minimum latency) thru Kimber USB cable. JRMC directed to play 2xDSD in DoP. I use Jremote with Ipad to navigate with IP Static address. The sound is terrific. Unfortunately, every day (most in the morning, but sometimes at any day time) JRMC stop working. When I press Stop button it hangs and after reboot everything works OK for hours. The situation is repeated on the next day etc. I tried to ran JRMC in win 8 compatibility mode - same. I also tried to use it without JRemote and in GUI mode - still have JRMC dropout. Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks, Boris.

  7. Thanks for fast answer. How long you can play with the red wine black lighting? What is your impressions playing from batteries? I tested recently and for me it was the most analog sound I can get from my caps + all ssd's + ppa v2 installation. How reliable are Bacoon batteries? Does it allow to change battery pack by yourself, when need it? How reliable is Red Wine Black Lighting? As far as I understand to change battery pack for red wine it has to be send to Vinnie Rossi? Many thanks, Boris.
  8. Hi Alrainbow, 'My revenge setup is all batteries. Three sets. One of the main board and two for drives while one is shared for ppa usb card.' Could you please describe your batteries setup? Thanks.
  9. Hello, Couple of months ago I purchased JRemote and IPad2 with specific reason only to remotely control my audiophile system. The configuration is standard (all is wired by cat-6) – Router, Cable modem, NAS, Dell PC – Win7 – JRiver-19 – dac – integrated amp – speakers. When I started with JRemote I asked for access key from JRiver, enable DNLA, loaded access key to JRemote and was able to control JRiver from JRemote with no problem and with big pleasure and convenience! In a few days I noticed that connection sometimes lost. No big deal – reconnected and it’s works. Yesterday, the connection was lost completely. First it was like out of sync. When connection was lost completely. I reload JRemote from app store, notice that it’s version 2.43 now; When after reload it’s still showed ver. 2.42. IPad IOS 7.04 And no connection. I deleted access key from JRiver and request a new one. With the new key I got message that key is verified but server is not available. And of course – no connection. Any help with this would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  10. Hi dvzzz, For years NAD amps were refined to suit your descriptions. Try http://www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo.asp?number=NAC275BEE Boris.
  11. Hello, I am trying to import iTunes library from laptop to desktop. Both Windows XP. Both connected to server. I exported laptop' library and imported xml file into desktop iTunes. Desktop iTunes music folder is marked as organised and files copied to the music folder if added to the iTunes library. iTunes copied a few folders into desktop music folder and stoped with a message "Can not copy file to hard drive - file is corrupted or file name is too long". I press OK and started import again. It works for a few folders and when I got the same message. Unfortunately the message does not show corrupted file name. As far as I recall Windows allows 255 characters with file name length. May be it does not accepted some special characters? Is there any solution to this problem? How long iTunes keep 'Recently Added' playlist (if I will need to delete added folders from library and start from scratch to avoid any problem with dups)? Thanks in advance for any input. Regards, Boris.
