I did contact Wadia and I'm still waiting for a response.
Based on Richard's answers, it seems like I can leave the Wadia on all the time. Energy consumption on idle is minimal on the Wadia.
When I had tube amplifiers, I would always turn on the source first and the amps at the end (the reverse when turning off). My understanding is that the tube amps needed to "see" an input signal coming in when turned on.
This new technology has me all confused, but I'm loving it! This new breed of integrateds is fantastic (e.g., Wadia, Devialet, etc.). IMO they're game changers.
