Thanks Pacwin, I have the settings at maximum/safe in the USB Pal control panel. I will try different USB outlets on my motherboard(Asus P8Z77-M) to see if that helps. I have a Sotm tx-USBexp which is being used with my MK3 JKSPDIF into my Mytek spdif input until appropriate drivers are available for the USB2 input. I just may be better served to try and use the firewire input for DSD. Thanks

How does one clear the errors count in the USB Pal Driver Control Panel on the Mytek Stereo 192 Dac.

Hello ted_b, Updating the bios on my Asus P8Z77-m motherboard solved the problem. The update improved PCI and windows 8 compatibility which is all I needed. Thanks again.

Mytek Firewire Control Panel. No Device Found. I installed a SIIg PCI Firewire card in my windows 8 music server along with Mytek's firewire software(v3.5.6). PCI card shows in device manager and there is a signal at the firewire output on PCI card. Any suggestions on how I can get firewire to work on my mytek so that I can see it under devices. Thanks,

Hello Synfreak, Thanks for your help. I will try your suggestions. The problems I am experiencing might be due to the fact that i am using Windows 8 which is not officially supported by Mytek. Hopefully the Windows 8 issues will also be resolved when Mytek releases their next set of drivers. Thanks,

Hello Synfreak, I am using USB2.0 Asio Foobar2000 setup with Dop DSD. I am also using Jriver mc18 with wasapi setup with Dop DSD. I am using DFF files. The front panel on my Mytek reads DSD for jriver and foobar2000. When music file starts to play, I get an interuption in playback every few seconds and DSD on the front panel flashes when the music is interupted. Thanks,

DSD Music File Interuption During Playback I believe that a key setting is wrong probably buffering. The USBPAL Control Panel shows: Streaming Buffer Size--Safe 16.0 millisecs Asio Buffer Size--Small 32.0 millisecs, 5645 Samples. How can I fix this novice problem? Thanks.

ted_b, I tried to do a USB 2.0 driver installation on my Mytek with v1.33.10. My windows 8 computer states "this setup can not run on the current operating system". Mytek shows w7 but not w8. Am I doing something wrong or are new drivers needed to support w8

Is the Mytek Stereo 192 DSD DAC with Firewire and USB2 drivers compatible with Windows 8?

This is my review of the Dac Plus. This a very nice unit which has a tube and solid state output which makes it a nice unit for those folks who are interested in tube and op-amp rolling. I changed out the stock 12au7 tube and replaced it with a Psvane 12au7 which has superior bass impact and better balance than the stock tube. I am using the USB output from my CAP2 server and the digital output from my Esoteric DV50s which I am using as a transport. My opinions are based on listnening to the USB input on the unit. The sound is 3 dimensional with excellent detail,ambience,separation and bass. Spatial cues that were slightly audible with my previous Dac are clearly audible with the Dac Plus. What I like best about the unit is the balance top to bottom and the fact that you can listen to your favorite music for hours without listner fatigue.

Hello, I just completed my music server. I have Windows 7 Ultimate(64bit),J Rivers 15 Mc and Esi Juli@ installed with the latest drivers(Version 1.07 64 bit). My problem is I can not get the card to output sound at the S/PDIF Out in the Juli@ console. The card is showing a output at 1/2 in the console. My settings are: 1. Windows Playback-S/Pdif Juli@ audio as default 2. J Rivers Asio output. Under Asio Settings it shows Asio 2.0-Esi Juli@ks, Thanks, Johnny
