  1. Hi, I have a microRendu that has developed a problem. Somehow it can't be found on the network. The network connection seems OK (green light steady, yellow flickering), but Roon has lost connection. IP scanner doesn't show it, as it used to, so impossibly to get to it through an IP number. Further it seems the unit isn't getting as warm as it used to. The power source is tested and works OK. The DAC (Meridian Explorer2) receives power from the uR (one white light, so it connects). The SD card is properly seated, had it reseated to try. I have tested the connected DAC directly on a computer and it works good. Is there anything further I can try or tips to get it working again? Thanks, Rene
  2. Have a listen to Charly Winston's "Running Still", I really enjoy that one!
  3. Following this with interest! I think it is clear what the OP and me are trying to do. Is there any other comparable quality kit out there in the same price bracket that can be recommended on sound quality? Cheers, Rene.
  4. CharlyD, where have you got your information from? The manual says "• Linear PCM signals with a sampling frequency of 32kHz, 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 64kHz, 88.2kHz, 96kHz, 176.4kHz, or 192kHz can be input into this device" I'm not interested in the USB connection, but in playing my recorded music through a DLNA set-up (networked). Further: Compatible formats -- Sampling frequency -- Bit rate Extension WMA (Windows Media Audio) -- 32/44.1/48 kHz -- 48 – 192 kbps .wma MP3 (MPEG-1 Audio Layer-3) -- 32/44.1/48 kHz -- 32 – 320 kbps .mp3 WAV -- 32/44.1/48 kHz –- .wav MPEG-4 AAC -- 32/44.1/48 kHz -- 16 – 320 kbps .aac/ .m4a/ .mp4 FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) -- 32/44.1/48/96kHz -– .fl ac Interested, but confusing information.
  5. Hi, I want to get a high quality DAC/Network renderer/sink to play my recorded music through. Previously I was set on a Linn Sneaky DS, but the Marantz NA7004 looks very interesting as well. It should be able to play FLAC and WMA, referable at least up to 24/192. Anybody has experience or ideas to share? Budget is about £800. Thanks, Rene.
