  1. Putting up for sale this excellent sounding and award winning, $5000 DAC. Here is what Robert Harley had to say: ""The original Alpha DAC was a groundbreaking product, both in absolute performance and in its spectacular value." This is a series or version 1 unit and I am the third owner. It is an 8/10 on the Audiogon scale. I have the original box, manual, and remote. Buyer pays actual shipping costs from 03049. Payment via PayPal is preferred, but if you pay in such a way that it incurs fees, the buyer is responsible for covering the fees. Please let me know if you have any questions. George
  2. I am the original owner and the unit is conservatively rated at a 8+/10 on the Audiogon scale. I have the remote, power cord, manual, and original boxes. I am asking $2300 plus actual shipping costs from 03049. If you want to use PayPal, that's fine, but any fees will be covered by the buyer. Let me know if you have any questions. George
  3. Will get a more detailed post out in the next day or two, but wanted to state that the Vinnie Rossi PS option for the microRendu made a very substantial improvement over the Regen PS. How big? I would say the the LIO DAC is now very close or equal to the Auarlic Vega being fed by my purpose built computer. Since VINNIE's PS only works with his DAC, I will need to try the microRendu/Vega combo with the Regen PS. More to come... George
  4. I moved some things around and can now plug the iFi into a Pi Audio UbrrBuss or a Furman IT-Ref 20 balanced power conditioner. Hopefully that will take care of the noise. I would like to compare the iFi power supply to Vinnie's solution. George
  5. Tomorrow afternoon I will get my Vinnie Rossi LIO updated so it can power the microRendu. Right now I am using the power supply that came with the UpTone Regen as my iFi power supply is noisy and I haven't been able to determine why. George
  6. Same here! I have emails from Jesus after 10pm last night and a little after 6am this morning!! Incredible customer service! George
  7. Here is the microRendu connected to a Vinnie Rossi LIO. George
  8. Thanks for the positive comment Chris. I enjoy the system and believe that this change to my digital front end will make things even better. Would you happen to have a favorite AES/EBU cable that you recommend? When I talked to Bryston they thought either connection would work well and that different reviewers preferred one over the other and that there wasn't a consensus. George
  9. I will be receiving this combo later in the week and I am curious as to which type of cable (BNC or AES) and brand people are using between their BDP-1 and BDA-1. I will also love to hear general recommendations on possible digital cables to try. I have not had to use a digital ic in a very long time and I am not current on what's what. This Bryston combo will be replacing a Modwright Transporter. You can see the rest of my system here: http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?action=systems;sa=view;id=711 Thanks, George
