  1. Thanks in advance here's my question - I have all of my music stored on an apple time capsule in Flac and wish if at all possible to play these files via Bluetooth without using a computer in between?, is this possible please and what software will allow me to access and play Flac files directly from the Storage drive, I have a QED Bluetooth receiver ( Iplay ) attached to my hifi which works very well, but I am hoping to find the answer to be able to access my hundreds of Flac albums stored on the time capsule. I'm hoping to use the IPad to access the files on the storage drive and play these directly into my stereo system via Bluetooth. Thanks again Wayne
  2. As you rightly said you can connect the Capsule to the Mini directly but i have run into a problem the Light flashes annoyingly when there is no internet connection supplied to the Wan , how can i disable this please?, i have had to connect it to the internet to allow a steady green light to be shown when i remove the ethernet cable once again the light flashes but i can transfer files to the Capsule no problem what so ever, can any kind soul tell me how to stop this please, i dont need wireless access or internet via the capsule thanks.
  3. Sorry if this has been discussed by someone else but here goes. I wish to use a Mac Mini with a Time Capsule and use the Time Capsule soully to store my Aiff Itunes library, is it possible to just plug the time capsule into the Mac Mini to speed transfer times up please?, rather than plug the cables i to my BT Router, I don't want to use time capsule for back up I use a Mybook for that Thanks Wayne
  4. Will OS X Lion allow the Audio Midi menu to go to 192?? instead of a max of 96? I have just read that Snow Leopard ahas a 96 maximum even though the actual output can go to 192? thanks if you could answer this im running snow leopard via this program into the dac via optical will Lion allow 192 to be selected please in the audio midi drop down menu??
  5. Just bought a mac mini and have noticed on Audirvana cd player interface that everything after 96 isnt highlighted?, When looking in Midi Setup it shows at 44.1 maximum in the drop down menu is 96?? how do you see the others up to 192 ?? I have a benchmark DAC 1 USB and it goes up to 192 attached via Optical can anyone tell me how to get full use of this dac with Audirvana? Wayne As a footnote I have read that Snow Leopard will only output up to a Max of 96 via Audio Midi, Will OSX Lion allow 192 to be shown in Midi set up please and this on this programs interface??
  6. Am listening to it right now as I type this and to me it equals Amarra and betters it in some departments, I for one will be buying this for sure, well worth the price. I'm hearing a lot more in the instruments, currently playing " China Crisis - Flaunt The Imperfection - Flac " Sounds wonderful thru this really does and so easy to use to. Wayne As a footnote this program is darned impressive , all im bothered about is sound quality and ease of use, this is really top drawer, I love it, plays flacs waves aiff and sounds stunning The System optimiser is a great feature also, superb work. a definite convert for sure

    Amarra 2.3

Amarra is now fully activate once again, I think the confusion arises when you get to the password section when i first installed Amarra I put ( imaginary password for arguments sake ) password 1 = Rubbarb then when you re install Amarra it asks you to put another password into box four , I thought there were then two passwords on the system, I think were I went wrong is I didnt realise that password ! would be overwritten by the new password, I thought that both passwords where held on the system. am I correct in thinking that password you type in the pop up box after clicking authorise then overwrites the previous one. thanks

    Amarra 2.3

I have had a very informative email from Sonic Studio, which mentions that you are only allowed to move your license twice within a 30 day period, i guess thats why i cant register the program as its installed on a studio facility , then was installed on a home macbook pro and finally transferred from the Pro to a new Macbook mini, although i appreciate why Sonic Studio have to do this, it does prevent the more inquistive from reformating their harddiscs or buying computers to use it on, so there you have it if you transfer it from one computer to another more than twice in a month whether due to hard disc reform or a new computer purchase be warned. Ill report back when ive got it going again.

    Amarra 2.3

Can i ask please Paul if i may did you do the following 1. Put your license number - Same as last install 2. Email - same as last install 3. Password - same as last install 4. New password see below And probably the stumbling box when box 4 pops we put a completely new password in there and it says wrong password, how can we be putting in the wrong password when its asking the user to make up a new password with a fresh install Did you put a completely new password in both the password boxes? Different to those you used before the reformat , or did you just change the secpnd password and leave the other 3 boxes the same?.

    Amarra 2.3

Why cant things just be simple?, i thought that if you uninstall Amarra from computer A then reinstall it on computer B it would do it automatically?, has anyone ever done this and what is a successful process to use. As mentioned last evening Amarra is stll showing as activated on the older computer when we wish to use it on the brand new one, thats after removing the software via uninstall command I reinstalled it after trying to install on the new mac to check and sure enough it was telling me " software is authorised " , surely when you un install a message should be sent from the computer to the server to say ( software removed ) , do you run into problems with both computer a and b being in the same room and on the same internet connection , im baffled If anyone can let me know what exactly you have to do to de activate the software fully therefore freeing up the license to transfer ( easily as sonic say!) to another computer id love to read it, ive emailed sonic studio direct to see if they can forward an instruction email as im tearing my hair out Wayne

    Amarra 2.3

have tried to remove Amarra from Macbook Pro and install on Mac Mini this evening, cannot see a deactivation button where is it??, says in software installation section about deactivation to move license to the new computer , but it is apparently not as easy to do. used the uninstall Amarra Command which took me into Terminal " Do you want to uninstall Amarra Y/N ?", clicked yes , amarra program removed but obviously not enough as wont allow it to be installed on the second machine, as a test i reinstalled Amarra on the first computer again and says Authorised yet again!!!, As Mentioned I cannot find a deactivate box anywhere where is it please and how do you go about it Wayne it clearly mentioned deactivation but how you do this is anyones guess as theres no box to click. help me out if you could

    Amarra 2.3

Am i correct in thinking that to move Amarra from for example a macbook pro to a mac mini all that is needed is to use uninstall on computer A, then reinstall on computer B?. How does sonic studio know that you have removed the software?, my friend is getting a Mac Mini tomorrow and wishes to transfer her license from her Macbook to the Mini. Does she then just re install 2.2.3 on the new machine, enter her registration and email then Her current password in box three, make up a completely new password different from the one she is using at this time in the box which pops up aftet that. Thanks wayne

    Amarra 2.3

Earlier last night i mentioned that after installing 2.3.2 and having it authorized immediately by the new updates backup/restore facility of this version i then read the read me pdf and did what it said in 4.0.0 preferences :: If you have a previous version of Amarra on your Mac, please delete your previous Amarra prefs prior to using this version. This action will ensure Amarra 2.3 runs smoothly. 1. Navigate to your Amarra applications folder in your Macs application folder. 2. Locate the extras folder then open it. 3. Double click the delete Amarra prefs command utilty. After doing this i clicked File/authorisation to find that the software is still authorised but there is nothing what so ever in the three boxes. No activation code / email or password can be seen But it is still showing as being authorized Any help appreciated

    Amarra 2.3

Have assisted my friend to update to the new version, we downloaded the update this evening clicked install as mentioned by jaeques earlier this afternoon, noticed that Amarra as mentioned over wrote the previous install without events or problems, noticed that password had been backed up into the amarra folder, checked authorisation and it was authorised " great " , then we read the section 4.0 which says clear your amarra prefs prior to using which we did, lo and be hold when we click on the authorisation box, its still s,howing as authorised but there is nothing in there , whats going on here? Kind of reminds me of that old sitcom "soap" which was on in the early 80s, " confused you will be . I sure am " , I'm Sure the documentation ( read me section 4.0.0 ) isn't correct as it wipes out your registation details in the boxes, if i had know this would of happen i wouldnt have clicked what it says to do in 4.0.0 of read me. Come to think of it i must be correct because if you delete Amarra prefs prior to installing 2.3.2 then installing it the software wouldnt be able to locate a password to store would it!!, i think this is giving me a headache !. I think there is an issue in that 2.3.2 backs up your password and installs it for you , then you do what it says in read me and it scrubs your prefs which include your stored password , user name and what have you, if im wrong please tell me. I can't understand why Amarra prefs scrubs your registration details in the boxes, when i click the tab it says authorised but nothing is in the boxes what so ever, is this due to the software remembering? , anypne enlighten me please. Wayne

    Amarra 2.3

So basically you left the previous install on your computer?, downloaded the update and it registered itself with Sonic?, no updates showing yet, must be the time difference between here and where ever Sonic are based!.
