  1. Thank you for your reply. I have another question. I can set up for 24 bits in my DAC. But, I use Sonos music server. I called Sonos. They said that Sonos sets up only for 16 bit. Should I need another server which sets up for 24 bit? sss
  2. Hi guys, I am new to computer audio system. I am digitalizing my audio system and ripping my CDs and saving these at NAS. I am using SONOS music server. It works fine. But, I have never listen to music recorded at 24 bit. Many people say that the sound of 24 bit music is totally different from that of 16 bit music. I want to download 24 bit classical music and compare 16 bits music. Can anybody let me know where I can download free-trial 24 bit music. Thanks, SSS
  3. Hi guys, I am digitalizing my audio system. I have ripped all my CDs and saved in WAV format in my computer. I listen to the music saved at the setting of 16 bit/44.1 KHz of DAC. It works fine. I have a question. If I listen to music at the setting of 24 bit/88.2 or 24/176.4 of DAC, is the quality of music better, worse or the same. Can this damage DAC? Thanks, SSS
  4. Thank you much. I tried to convert ALAC to WAV using Itunes following your guideline. In Itunes, I clicked Preference, then at "When you insert CD" clicked Import settings. At the Import settings, I clicked WAV encoder. Then I did right-clicking. Then, nothing happened. I tried to follow your guideline, but I think that I did this differently. Would you tell me what I did wrong and how to convert my music files, which were ripped off through ALAC using Itunes in my PC and saved in my external files, to WAV and save in my external drive? Thanks, sss
  5. Hi, I tried to convert my many ALAC music files saved with Itune in my PC to WAV files. I used RIVERPAST program, which did not open my ALAV music files. The RIVERPAST said to use QUICKTIME. I am new to computer audio things. Can anybody tell me which program I should use to convert ALAC music files to WAC files without problems. sss
  6. Thanks, Alan I tried to convert my music ALAC files to WAV file using Riverpast program. It did not open my ALAC files. The River program said to use QuickTime. Would you let me know which program may convert my ALAC file to WAV files without problem.
  7. Thank you so much. Either way, I will be a lot of work. Do you thinkg that converting to WAV from ALAC take time less than ripping cds to WAV? Sung
  8. Hi guys, I need help. I have ripped off hundreds CDs and saved in ALAC format in my external drive, using iTune. I found that the quality of music saved in WAV format is better than that in ALAC. I want to convert all my music files saved in ALAC to WAV. My concern is this: Is the quality of music in WAV format converted from ALAC the same as the quality of music in WAV format which is saved by ripping off CDs. SS
