  1. The problem I've seen with setting an automatic shutdown time is that if I've shared the screen on my headless mini it won't shut down like I've told it to. Rather, it warns me other people are signed in and wants me to confirm the shut down. Is there a way to force the shutdown regardless of who may be signed in?
  2. So only Series 1 Alphas that were manufactured in the last 10 weeks while they've been scampering to finally get the USB built and out the door... how many could that possibly be? Anyone here?
  3. ... of accessing a music library wirelessly, or specific advice concerning the Time Capsule?
  4. I'm considering getting a Time Capsule for my music library. Does it serve the music fast enough wirelessly? I'm running an 802.11n network with Mac computers and Pure Music. Some of my music is high res. Thanks.
  5. I heard they are being boxed and will be picked up by UPS this week. Here's hoping.
  6. The channld website states that Pure Music is compatible with Lion: Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) Compatiblity (Developer Preview 4) Tested and Compatible (including Playthrough) Yes, it plays music, but why is it that common features like HOG and Integer modes don't function correctly? I agree with Bill: for a commercial product this is really second-rate. Having spent my entire career in software development, I have to think they had plenty of time to test their products with Lion and at very least communicated the status with their customers.
  7. I can't get PM to save HOG Mode, and therefore I can't set Integer mode either. Is anyone else having a problem with this? Maybe Integer mode isn't even relevant now. Anyone know?
  8. I'm downloading Lion on 3 machines concurrently right now. I only had to pay once. The app store acknowledged I'd already purchased it and allowed me to download it again for free. I wonder how many copies I'll be able to download.
  9. This may not be completely relevant, but there are a few conventions that one should follow when writing in English. One is to always capitalize the pronoun "I". Another is to end sentences with a period (.), exclamation point (!), or question mark (?). A third is to always capitalize the first word in a sentence. Perhaps you have not followed these conventions because you are pressed for time, but the few extra keystrokes are worth the small investment when you consider that your objective in writing is probably to have what you've written read by one or more people. The readers are forced many times over to apply additional time and effort to comprehend what you've written. You're small incremental effort in conforming to conventions would therefore pay quite handsome returns.
  10. I still have the vinyl I bought in the early 70's but the last time I checked I thought the cd version with the color photo on the cover was better, at least on my rig. I would be delighted to have a higher fi hi-rez version but I'm reluctant to be an early adopter.
  11. It was a fabulous performance that I'll listen to on my death bed but it was never the epitome of hi-fi. I don't plan to shell out my hard earned cash on an "audiophile" hi-rez version.

    Try enabling Memory Play, sieve-for-brains.

Is it the DAC or the interface that dictates if integer mode will work? I thought it was the interface but my Wavelink/Berkeley Alpha combo was working but my Wavelink/EAD 9000 combo isn't. Non-Integer works but when I check Integer Mode, no sound. Any advice?

Go figure. Hog mode, too? My other settings are pretty unremarkable. I do run headless, but I can't imagine that makes any difference. It would be nice if channld's website had a little more robust troubleshooting section. It shouldn't be that Rob gave me what I considered to be pretty fundamental advice on sleep in an email. Maybe your point's valid though about set-ups being more unique that we think.
