  1. @AudioCynic...extremely insightful and informative post. Thank you for your contribution to the discussion.
  2. I guess we're all in agreement then. If you run the Offramp 4 with Turboclock and regulator upgrades into a GOOD DAC you get get good results. If you don't, you don't.
  3. Wouldn't this post be more appropriate in a thread about DAC's or the Overdrive in particular and not in a thread about the Offramp 4? I'm not disputing the poster's findings at all. But at first glance and without paying enough attention one could get the impression that the Offramp 4 is what was found lacking in the comparison. And IMO the Offramp 4 is an excellent accomplishment.
  4. I believe that dbPoweramp has a DSP effect built in that decodes HDCD.
  5. It's interesting that one of the most vocal proponents of keeping Steve's ban in effect has a competing product.
  6. Here is another in agreement with Wap.
  7. VP - Purchasing & Inventory To DoubleHelix: This is one of the best comments ever! "......was bitten by an audiophillic vampire" Vicious little buggers aren't they!?
  8. I have nothing but the highest regard for the outstanding customer service of Channel D. I've been having a devil of a time getting the sound out of 1.8a that I knew was in there somewhere. Rob just spent a considerable amount of time on the phone with me going thru every single setting I needed to get the results I was looking for. Rob really does go the extra mile. Many thanks.
  9. Does anyone here listen to the music, or just the gear? This has grown tiresome.
  10. Hi Fabrice, Typically it's after the iPad goes to sleep. When I wake up the iPad I get a message that yTrack is not connected to any library and to click on Settings to add one. That results in it having lost it's sense of where it was at and what it was playing. Thanks for looking into this. Kind regards, Tim
  11. And for me it constantly loses connection with the library and has to re-aquire it and therefore has lost it's place in the library. Has anyone else found this to be the case and/or a cure? Thanks, Tim
  12. am very glad to hear your decision not to let yTrack die. I prefer it already to Remote for a couple of reasons. I think it's already been discussed for a near future release but I would like to see Genre added to the Artist-Album-Track choices at the bottom of the screen. Thanks again, Tim
  13. "Over on Audiocircle.com, people using the Tranquility USB DAC from db Audio Labs are claiming that a stock 2010 Mini sounds better than a 2009 Mini with additional RAM, SSD and a linear PSU. If this is true, why spend $400.on a linear PSU, when you can have better sound, lower power consumption and less boxes and cables by upgrading to a new Mini." Because they might be wrong?
