should be a Sony PS3 ripped SACD. To extract you need scarletbook.exe (only Windows). It makes .dff files and these can be converted to pcm (wav, aiff, flac...) with Weiss Saracon or Korg Audiogate.

Did anybody test or hear about the new Fidelia player (OS X 10.5+) from Audiofile Engineering? It seems to support VST and AU plugins, uses the iZotope dithering engine. Input could be AIFF, FLAC, CAF, MP3, AAC, ALAC and OggVorbis for up to 192kHz-32bitfloatingpoint, iTunes or standalone library can be used. They have an remote app for iPhone. This sounds good to me (on their web site - until now)...

ZU 103? I know DL-103. I own the Apogee too (and a Thorens 115MkII with Sony PUA-1500S tonearm and Ortofon MV20MkII). Are you using it with the Apogee Duet mic input and RIAA-deemphasis by PureVinyl? There is be no better sound card for the mac under $500 than Apogee Duet in my opinion if you don't need SP/DIF in/out. Frank

Hi, I'm currently using a nice little uDAC from NuForce which is limited to 48kHz. Trying to get most out of hard&software, does it make any sense to switch on the upsampling feature of PM or am I running into some problems using it? I just set uDAC to 48kHz in audio-midi-settings and switched on upsampling in PM but I have not heard so many of my recordings (mostly 44.1) to justify if it's better or not. Frank

dbpoweramp runs pretty well under crossover from code weavers on my os x. but all software may have timing problems when running under a windows emulation - so don't use it for ripping. conversion task are done perfectly. because of the issues with ripping i replaced it lately by xld. frank
