  1. I use a program call Max. It is very simple and it can rip CD directly into a number of formats. You can download it from here: Max from sbooth.org I don't have Yosemite so I don't know if Max will run on it but you can give it a try since it is a freeware.
  2. If Integer Mode isn't on you won't even see the INT indicator at all. To double check, you can look at the Debug Info... under the Audirvana menu. If the Integer Mode is on, you will see a line showing that in the Debug Information window.
  3. In case you didn't receive email from Linn. It is offering free download of 24-bit studio master tracks for the holiday again. Here is the link: Linn
  4. I have experienced the same problem with WD FW drives also. It might be a bug in Finder. The drive is actually mounted but it doesn't show up in Finder. If you start the Terminal app and do "ls /Volumes" you should see your drive there. The only way to fix this that I know of is to switch to USB.
  5. I have been using Tuxera NTFS driver for a few years (since Snow Leopard) without any problem. The latest version supports Mavericks which I also use. These drivers are very fast. I can't tell any difference between a NTFS drive and a HFS+ drive. Highly recommended.
  6. I use Audirvana+ and Pure Music, mostly Audirvana+ nowadays.
  7. Just a suggestion here. If you want to do A/B comparison of Mavericks and another older OS/X and if you have a music only Mac, you can repartition the hard drive and install different versions of OS on different partitions. I have a dedicated music only 2009 Mac Mini. I have created two partitions on its hd and have installed Snow Leopard on one and Mountain Lion on the other. I can boot into either one and make comparison in less than 4 minutes. I am going to upgrade the Snow Leopard partition to Mavericks tonight and see if it sounds any different than Mountain Lion.
  8. Audio is very subjective. It is hard to say how the upgrade will sound to you. The good news is it is a free upgrade and you can keep both 1.4.x and 1.5.x installed at the same time. Why don't you just try them both and see which one you like better?

    Pm 1.9/2.0

I contacted him at [email protected]. Is it the same address you used?
  10. If you use a cloning program like the Carbon Copy Cloner to make an exact copy of your HD, Audirvana will work without any problem. I did a similar upgrade of my MacBook Pro to a 512G SSD last year. But you should always save a backup copy of the license file in case something does go wrong.

The only one who knows with certainty will be Rob at Channel D. Have you tried to contact him?
  12. I have tried a few VNC remote apps on iPad. The one I like best is called Remoter VNC. The current version is 3.8.6. It is very responsive. It supports two finger zoom in and out. It has buttons for double click, scroll, drag, and right mouse button. Give it a try. You may like it.
  13. Great idea. I have never thought of that. Thanks for the tip. I will try it tonight.

    OSX Mavericks

I think it is great too. So much computing power packed into such a small package. It is amazing. I don't really need one but I would like to have one. I don't think it will be cheap though.
  15. You can't use check update for beta builds. You need to use the link Damien provided in this thread.
