Anyone have Windows 7 with an audiophile solution? I'm willing to change my DAC. I have a DAC that only takes SPDIF. So I have tried a few prosumer USB/Firewire devices that output SPDIF. But I can't find any that are compatible with Windows 7: tried my old Extigy, the M-Audio Solo and the Focusrite Saffire LE Firewire. Extigy installs using Windows 7 "generic audio" device but only accepts 48K audio (which I assume means that my CD's are being resampled...) The other two products have dropouts and distortion at times: hardly hifi...
