See referances to running Roon Core on Synology NAS devices, so how well will it run on a DM 510 Atom with 4 Gig. RAM. With a Terrabyte HDD currently on Debian Linux.

Is there a list, of supported or usable end points. For instance, I know my Iqaudio Pi-Dac + will work, but will an Apple Express work, and what else?

Well, I am having much enjoyment listening to a RPi 2 with Iqaudio Pi - Dac + playing FLAC files from a USB external powered HDD, as well as a RPi Zero, with an Asus Xonar U3, USB audio device. Audio quality is very good, not the best I have heard, but more than good enough to be thoroughly enjoyed. Using Volumio or Moode , have yet to try Rune Audio ...

Nope, they specifically stated MK II, but playback only - no recording ... , which is a pity, but as I want to use for a music server ... , is fine ... , one of the issues, was USB 2 support required, and Voyage, has that now ... , which is half way there ... , other half now is ALSA support ..., ah well ... , cannot win them all ...

There are however reports of people getting it to work. in playback only mode, unfortunately details are sketchy, and there are no recent reports, so I asked, hoping someone might have some current news ... Thanks

Alsamixer was what did the trick, am now listening to Blondie, Heart of Glass, and it is real shweeeet!!!

Okay so I edited out the problem lines in my mpd.conf as follows, and no more errors from mpd when it starts ... format "44100:16:2" mixer_device "default" mixer_control "/dev/mixer" mixer_index "0" Not getting any sound out of the Headphone output, but I might need to configrue another hardware option other than "device "hw:0,0"" to get that working ... Progress ...

Hi, I am busy setting up an MPD server with an Asus Xonar Essence ST sound card. All I still need to make MPD happy are the ALSA config. Lines for this card. Am using a default config and see no errors in the ALSA config section. Some recommended settings I can compare with what I have would be a great help. Thanks
