  1. Hi; I have been using iTunes on my Mac as a music server for a few years now. I used to stream either on an Airport Express or on an AppleTV since my music server is physically far from my sound system. Last week, my amp went down and I want to buy a new amp + speakers and continue to stream music from my AppleTV. p.s. the quality of my old amp was poor so I was not using digital output from the AppleTV but now I want to... I would spend between 1500 $ and 2000 $ for the amp, speakers, and DAC if necessary. From what I'm reading I have different possibilities: 1. use the optical audio (toslink) of the AppleTV to input into a DAC and then input in the amp 2. use the HDMI output or the optical audio (toslink) of the AppleTV directly into an amp which supports digital input 3. Buy a PC and install a good sound card, such as the Asus Xonar Essence STX and use that PC as the music server instead of a Mac, and connect that sound card directly to the sound system (I don't like that option because I need to put a PC in my living room...) I would spend between 1500 $ and 2000 $ for the amp, speakers, and DAC if necessary. Did I understand the different setups possible ? is there another solution ? What would be a good setup for my needs ? Would someone suggest me some setup + hardware ? any comment would help me a lot Thank you very much;
