  1. I'm disappointed that Gen 2 will be delayed to 2024. However, I'm excited about the possibility of a 2nd SFP on the 'B' side. The Gen 2 can be a "flagship" component with dual SFP ports and an internal power supply. This will require a new chassis and higher price, but will reduce the clutter from using an external power supply. The dual SFP ports will be handy for me because my audio, home theater, and NAS are far apart. Single mode fiber optic cables are also much less costly than ethernet cables (and sound as good or better). The basic Gen 2 (1 SFP with external PS) is still worth the long wait though.
  2. View Classified PS Audio Directstream (w XS4400 Transformers & Ext PSU) This Directstream has the upgraded Edcor XS4400 transformers and JK Richards' external power supply for substantially improved clarity, musicality and bass. Check my 100% feedback on Audiogon & US Audio Mart and buy with confidence. I have factory packaging and will ship from Blaine, WA 98230. 3. The iFi Power is similar to the Sbooster BOTW Ultra that use with my Auralic Aries. The Sbooster is considerably better than the stock power supply and the iFi Power is probably in the same league. My motivation is to reduce clutter and AC noise from all my cheap wall warts. It's too bad that fFi or Sbooster don't offer a power supply with multiple DC outputs.
  4. My sound room has dedicated AC lines, and good power conditioner and grounding. I have a separate computer room to stream music and distribute cable and wifi. This room is a bit of a disaster because there are more than 6 wall warts connected to cheap power strips. The adapters are bulky and take up 2 outlets for a single connection. These AC adapters are used by Synology NAS, cable modem, Netgear router, etc. I want to remove these wall warts to reduce clutter and AC noise. The best candidate that I've found is the MIDDLE ATLANTIC PD-DC-45 DC distribution unit, which has 6x12v and 6x5v outlets. I plan to connect this DC unit to a compact power conditioner (eg. Shunyata Venom PS8). Anyone have experience with the PD-DC-45 or similar product? Any better idea?
