  1. Hi Guys, I have $1000/£1000 for upgrade my system but not quite sure where to put the money in. I have SOtM-200 with Ultracap LPS-1, Chord 2qute with MCRU power supply, Passive Audio PC with linear power supply, PMC 26 with Naim Supernait 2. The cables are all high quality. I am not looking for extra magic or more details, I am more up to the smoother and darker sound. Should I upgrade to Ultra Neo? TX-USB Ultra? Chord Qutest? Or save some money for the later pre and power amp upgrade? Thanks and happy listening for 2019!
  2. Hm, great question and hope we can get the reply.
  3. Got it! All I had to do is removing the manually entered IP, Gateway and Subnet values and keep it automatically. Thanks!!!
  4. Thanks for the reply! Have you ticked all of the checkboxes in the bridge properties or just the one that has the internet connection?
  5. Hi yellowblue, thanks for the info. I've also noticed that the network drive cannot be read by the ROON, all of the files are "Unavailable".
  6. Hi Guys, I need some help :-/ I could do the bridge, looks everything fine, I can also see the SoTM-200 in Roon player but when I start playing a file it says TIDAL: A networking or connectivity problem is interfering with TIDAL playback. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Tom
  7. Actually USB can eat higher resolution audio files.
  8. Hi dhemen, I have the same situation at the moment and I'm just wondering if you found a solution for this?
  9. Has anyone had a chance comparing the Mutec mc3+ USB against with SoTM tX-USBultra?https://www.sotm-audio.com/sotmwp/englis...-usbultra/
  10. Thanks for the reply! I believe in lowering the noise is very important and I have a linear power supply for my 2Qute as I have this MCRU and it does make a pretty good job but I'm wondering what have you done with yours? My SSD has been powered with my HDPlex 100W, PPA card powered by LPS-1+HDPlex, MOBO has a linear power supply with a toroidal transformer so that's why I would look the improvement elsewhere.
  11. Thanks everyone, specially @romaz I know the Chord 2Qute's galvanic isolation is not perfect so I'm sure there is some room for this kind of optimisation but I think the best what I can do is getting a tX-USBUltra or a Mutec first.
  12. Hi guys, I need some advice as I got confused I have an Audiophile PC and I was originally planning to buy the SMS-200 powered by my existing LPS-1 but since this TX-USB Ultra not sure what's the best next step to take. Let me describe my frustration in bullet points: is it better to save more money and buy the tX-USBUltra first and then SMS-200? is it any better to have just the Tx-USB Ultra with my PPA v4 USB card? is there any upcoming sms-200 Ultra that I should consider? or should I just buy the SMS-200 now, powering with my LPS-1 and enjoy it? in terms of the direct and bridged connection is there any benefit using my PPA v4 USB card with a LAN adapter or is it better to buy a PCI express LAN card and get rid of my beloved PPA card as there is no more sense to keep it along with the SMS-200? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Tom
  13. I did not have this issue with another PSU so I'm pretty sure it's not related to the mobo battery. I'm sure the HD-Plex is a great product with great service by Larry and probably my config does not suit to it or I just had a bad luck with it.
  14. I did have a 400W LPSU and could not manage to work with my PC (Asus Z170 PRO with i5 CPU). SSD has been driven by the 100W HD-Plex LPSU along with the PPA V3 USB card but the 400W PS only could boot up the PC when I made a BIOS reset. That means every time when I turned the PS off I had to reset the BIOS so I had to send it back to Larry.
