  1. Hi, I finally received my shipment of Getchip C.H.I.P. $9 boards. I've been using Pogoplug vE02 with squeezelite as clients to connect to Schiit DACs. Although the Pogoplugs work ok, they have problems in synchronized playback (lack of CPU??) and are long obsolete, while various Raspberry Pi models have the stuttering / clicking issue that's well documented. I thought that the Odroid C2 would be ideal. It seemed to work, but at higher sample rates it has even worse stuttering than the RaspPi. It might be the old (3.1x) kernel it the C2 uses, but for now it's not working. The C.H.I.P. has a strength which is also a weakness - the only networking is wifi and bluetooth. There's no Ethernet, and only one USB port. However audio was perfectly easy to set up instructions for headless setup were good. I have one using wifi (close to the wifi router). For the unit further from the router I use a USB hub and USB-Ethernet dongle. The only other little issue is that the Debian distro for this board only has an older squeezelite version (1.6.4) packaged. It works fine, but I've compiled a more recent version (1.8.4) just in case, and I'm using this. For those of you looking to build a tiny Logitech Media Server client, this is definitely worth a try.
