  1. Hey run runrob1258, Did you receive your DAC2 HGC? I'm trying to decide between the HGC and the Mytec Digital Stereo 192 DSD.
  2. This is awesome news Chris. I was eying the Mytek Stereo 192 DSD DAC and now I have another target in mind. I hope you can provide us with a great comparison real soon. Thanks for the news.
  3. Take a gander at the Anthem 225 Integrated Amp. I upgraded from an old home theater 5 channel Parasound amp, using my WFS Dac2 as pre-amp. The improvement was breathtaking. It goes for about $1300. Just a thought.
  4. Bill, I can't thank you enough for the detailed instructions. When I drag the album art file from my desktop into the "Now Playing" album art area,it seems to stay there. However, on occasion the album art seems to wander. I'll be making these changes and report back. Again, your directions are right on the money. Thanks again. Rene
  5. Bill, The work-around you prescribed works as you described. I've created a file on my desktop that I've loaded with the missing album art. Once the track is playing, I'll simply drag the "Folder.jpg" file into the blank "now playing" window and it shows for each playing track thereafter. And I do plan to stick with ver. 0.20.0 version for now. Thank you. Rene
  6. I have a Mac Mini 2010. Within the first 6 months, the hard drive crashed. It was under warranty, so the geniuses at the Genius Bar happily swapped out the drive at no cost. About 6 weeks ago, the hard drive started giving me problems booting up. I tried several times to re-install the OS, but after the download, it would start to install and suddenly stop. The error message would say something about my hard drive being to screwed up to install the OS. I finally broke down and took the little sucker to the local Genius Bar. After about trying 5 different combinations of OS installs, the genius finally gave it a final go and abra-cadabra! It seems to be working fine now. I asked the genius if he'd seen this problem before or if they get many Mini's in for service. No and No. Huh? Is it me? The four or five days without my music was bad. Real bad. I came across a post involving the Auraliti PK90. My PK90 is making breathtaking music as I write. I haven't looked back and I'm glad I am no longer MacMini Dependent.
  7. This sounds like a good option Bill. I'm at work now, so I'll give it a go tonight. Thanks again! Rene
  8. I hope that your suggestions are taken to heart by the developers of GMPC. I, like you would rather have my own cover art.
  9. Bill, you are right on the money. I am stuck like Chuck. I am running a Windows 7 PC with GMPC ver.0.20.0. "So, assuming you are in 'Album View', right click on the album (CD icon if there is no cover displayed), then click on 'Select File'. A new window titled 'Select File' will open displaying the locally attached drives on the PC that GMPC is running on. Now, that's the catch for you. For you this is not going to work. The reason is that the USB drive plugged into your Auralti will not show up in the list of drives attached to your PC (the one running GMPC). The Auralti does not share its USB drive to the network and GMPC was written to only look for a locally attached drive." As you said, my USB drive will not show up. Oh well. I'll stand by and be patient while I listen to beautiful music. Thank you so much for your assistance with my issue Bill. Awesome. Rene
  10. Bill, when I first started to deal with NeoMPC, I converted all my album art files to "Folder.jpg". Once I did this, the album art would show in NeoMPC whenever I played a certain artist. In the last couple of days, with GMPC, I've painstakingly gone through each album file, loaded it into the playlist window and then right clicked on any track, and chosen Tools> Metadata Selector. A separate window would open and you then queried the particular album for artwork. This was usually hit or miss. Going by what you last said, I have turned off all the metadata fetchers. How exactly do you mean by "manually selecting the local cover art for each and every album"? I have a external hard drive feeding my Auraliti PK90 with the music files. I can't wait for the developers to resolve this for us! Thanks, Rene
  11. Thanks for the break down Bill. Totally appreciated. This is my first venture down this hole with MPD since I got my Auraliti. But as you can imagine, I'm really Jonesing for my album art work. On NeoMPC I picked up a tip on another post regarding the whole "Folder.jpg" artwork issue. That works awesome in NeoMPC. Can you help me out with the album art work in Gnome? Thanks again.
  12. I'm using the Airport Extreme. Should I expect Apple to change the Auraliti ip address in the future?
  13. I figured something was off. I only get around one out of six or seven album arts. I'll chase that one another day. Thanks Bill.
  14. I had tried IP addresses 192.168.2.1, 192.168.1.1, and a couple of others and at least it was searching for a while before coming up with an error message. So I knew I was on the right track. Just when I was about to give up and ask you for more help I looked at your reply one more time and I noted you mentioned what network address was assigned to my Auraliti. I looked on the Auraliti home page and entered 10.0.1.18 and it was like magic. Dextor Gordon and his album artwork popped right up. I'm going to take some time and do some exploring for a while. Thanks so much Bill! I'll report back later. Rene.
  15. Thanks Bill. I'm going to go down the checklist and try to get GMPC working. I'll letcha know how it goes. Thank you. Rene
