  1. I already own Mac Mini M1 8GB and run HQ player 5. I can do SDM poly-sinc-gauss xla/ASDM5EC light 512+fs, no dropouts. Changing to ASDM7EC light 512+fs causes dropouts. Would changing to 16Gb enable me to run these modulators/filters. What is the advantage of 16Gb over 8Gb Mac mini M1
  2. trung224 Have you looked at PureOS https://puredsd.ru I used this with a BBB. Worked very well.
  3. Thank you for this information. How do I log into the naa to issue the commands. Web browser obviously takes me to the embedded interface and when I try PuTTY I get the message "connection refused". While I think of it, could you tell me the username + password for when I can access the naa endpoint. Your help is appreciated.
  4. I've been trying to install naa-4122- raspberrypi4 but no luck. I use BalenaEtcher to flash the img files and the process completes successfully. I have tried several microsd cards and also tried naa-410 and 411-raspberrypi4 images. They all flash successfully but none of them are discoverable from the HQPlayer desktop. hqplayer-embedded-4.22.3-raspberrypi4 img works fine. I've flashed DietPi and RopieeXL without issue and these work fine. I'm at a loss as to what to try next. Any help would be appreciated.
  5. Hi Alex, Thank you for the swift reply. I'll consider myself to have been lucky to have not suffered a catastrophe with the LPS1. After reading your reply, I've spent some time looking up HDPlex problems on this forum and came across references to serious issues with certain models from this manufacturer. In light of this I have stopped using the HDPlex to supply the LPS1 and have re installed the original meanwell smps. I'll continue to use the supplied smps with the Etherregen and look at a suitable lps (probably not HDPlex) for the LPS1 and Etherregen. Your advice has been very much appreciated. Many thanks. Dennis
  6. Is 12.9v into Etherregen OK? I'm using my Etherregen with the supplied smps and would like to remove the smps and use my HDPlex 100w Lpsu. The HDPlex the following outputs, 5v, variable 5-19v, 12 & 19v. Currently I use the variable (5-19v) set at 9v for my LPS1 and the 19v for my NUC Win10 endpoint. I do not use the 5v outputs. The 12v output measures at 12.9v. Would this be ok for the Etherregen or could I use this (12.9v) for the LPS1 and use the variable output for the Etherregen. Many thanks
  7. Thank you for the clarification.
  8. Thank you for the reply. Is embedded the same as HQplayer OS? On the signalyst web page it looks like HQplayer OS and embedded are two different programs.
  9. I can't see HQplayer OS download at the bottom of the page either.
  10. Could you let me know the firmware version please. I should like to try my Lampizator at native 512 using a urendu or similar instead of NAA asio on a win10 NUC.
  11. I took the plunge and had my Lampizator upgraded from the previous DSD128 capability to 512. If I had taken my time and researched a little more I would not have gone ahead with the upgrade, at least until the Amenero issue had been resolved. I'm convinced I can hear the potential of DSD256/512 playback through my dac so I will continue to explore other possibilities to improve SQ with the Win NAA. (ISO Regen/ ifi galvanic isolation etc)
  12. I am comparing DSD512 (ARA 5) VS DSD128 (MR + LPS1). I replaced the supplied 5v smps with a Long Dog audio linear psu and there was a definite improvement to transparency and dynamic range (blackness/quietness). Playback through the MR + LPS1 just sounds more organic/lively. The Win10 NAA sounds a little flatter/drier at DSD128/256 and 512. I can hear the potential of DSD256/512 with this setup but I'm certain there is more to come. I suspect there is a limit to what can be achieved with the Ara5 and similar hardware platforms because you cannot readily modify or optimise the hardware.
