Hello All, I just took possession of my new ST AP. I got it up and running with my network but I’m having difficulty copying files from an attached usb drive. I have the ST connected to the router and I can see the network share in my iOS app FileBrowser. Of the three folders under sonictpap, (nas, storage, usbdrive) I can only access ‘storage’. All attempts to access the other two folders fail with the following error message: "Alert Could not connect to the share with error: Share name not found". Any tips would be greatly welcomed.

I’m looking for some pros and cons on these hardware options that I am looking at to replace my now dead NUC. Because I still like to buy CDs I used my NUC with a USB CD drive to rip audio files. Now i’d like to continue this with one of these options. I’m asking for input as I have no hands on experience with these rippers/servers. Any and all viewpoints are welcome. It happened during day a thunderstorm around 2 AM. We have a few glitches. With the electricity going on and off and when it tried to reboot it would Try to reboot it would get to the IBM NUC logo pause a few seconds then reboot nonstop.

I had a NUC! Unfortunately it died recently so I’m looking for a replacement. Now I realize that it need a "server" or is it a "renderer". I’m still confused on these devises and their place in the digital to analog chain.

I get your meaning and I think I may have made it look like I was saying that the microrendu was connected directly to the NAS. What I actually meant was the microrendu would be connected to a router that was connected to the network to which the NAS was connected. I was thinking that the microcomputer in the microrendu was acting as the roon core . Without having to purchase another computer what can be used as the roon core?

I’m pretty sure that I have this wrong. If my music files reside on a NAS can I just connect (via ether net cable) into the microrendu and USB into my DAC. Then control it with my iPad with the Roon app? Gimpinchair
