  1. Hi ! I got mine and, like all of you, I’m happy with the results. Needless to say, you need to give it some time to settle. There are a lot of electronic parts and they need time to start run in a smooth way. If you wish to elevate performance, the resonance adjustment is a thing to do. Its good to adjust resonance in both; the EtherREGEN and the power supply. If I would build my streaming source now, I guess it would only consists of the streaming device, EtherREGEN and stock cables. Although I still use two expensive cables (USB and Ethernet) I would probably not spent money on them now. Surprisingly, I prefer cheap stock ethernet cable instead of another fancy one I kept to connect router with EtherREGEN. In the end, those audio cables are all filters and some of them have really strong influence. I found myself looking for ease and analog-like naturalness and could hear nothing but compression with this mythical black background. Instead of pleasure. Today I would not buy linear power supply either, at least not at the beginning. First I would try to squeeze the performance of impulse p.s. by adjusting its resonance. They actually tend to sing quite well when you do this. I use UpTone LPS-1 with stock power supply and I’m happy with the results. Now truth is, with EtherREGEN I’m not interested in any kind of further improvements within my streaming source. I find signal so clean, that making it cleaner would only make my system sound worse. It is almost too clean now. I know John and Alex have plans for another devices. Well, we will see. Cheers, Greg
  2. Just realized what lesson you both have given us ! Do not give up your plans. Stand for them in difficulty and for a long time. It’s good to be patient. It is good to have strong will. Do not get bored and nervous reading and answering hundreds of emails, some of them from disappointed people. It is not a shame to have technical problems or problems with suppliers. It is not a shame to postpone launching date. Keep my fingers crossed. Have a good day Superdad and John !
  3. It sounds like UltraCap LPS-1 with its 1A would not be able to handle EtherREGEN as planned. Am I right ?
  4. Hello, I use Uptone Lps-1 to power my SMS-200 with great results, but when I read some comments, I start consider to switch on the new Uptone Lps-1.2. If someone made such switch, please share your thoughts. Have a nice day
  5. Hello, I use lps-1 to power my SMS-200 with great results, but when I read your comments here, I start consider to switch on the new lps-1.2. Please share your experience. Have a nice day !
  6. LPS-1 is a superb power supply and I use it with SOtM SMS-200. I use Maenwell to power LPS-1. Hope now it's clear. As I wrote before, I can easilly imagine someone finding a recent revelation when using IFI iPower with LPS-1. I just found other aspects in my system setup suffering from it. For sure our setups are different. Our personal preferences can be different too..
  7. Hello ElviaCaprice. Thank You for the reply. I try to connect your suggestions with my setup and my findings, but didn't come to any new conclusion. Maybe there is something I cannot understand or see ? I power DAC and amplifier on seperate audio-only circuit. LPS-1 is powered on a different circuit along with router (linear power supply) and TV gear. That’s it. My system only consists of a digital source (Tidal) , DAC and amplifier. Regards,
  8. Where does it stop ? That’s a good question. We all need a power supply to power the LPS-1. IFI iPower affects the sound and it is not by a margin. The second transformer I have is a stock Meanwell impuls type – and this one I use now. I keep try one more power supply and see what happens. Where does it stop ? Sometimes it suddenly stops. It does. Not too long ago two separate transformers powered my DAC and amplifier. My audiophile friends opened my eyes (ears) pointing out the degradation of piano tunes. Both transformers were changing the sound in more/less the same way as I described IFI iPower. I was “oversmoked” with 3D effect and black backgroud. They are gone now (transformers not my friends ) and my system simplified. Does it stop ? Yes it does. I had a refined USB chain: 1. USB 20cm stock cable, 2. JCat USB Isolator, 3. Sbooster Vbus2, 4. Transparent Premium USB, 5. UpTone Regen with LPS-1(LPS-1 is actually No. 6) , 7. USB hard adapter, and … finally … Lampi DAC. A new USB cable was recommended to me. This cable transfers signal best without ANYTHING in the chain. Would you believe ? Just a pure cable without all "the stuff"? Again my system were simplified. Does it stop ? Yes it does. All of these observations are personal dependent, and I can easily imagine other audiophiles making different choices.
  9. I replaced IFI 9V/2A powering my LPS-1 with a stock meanwell. IFI in fact is a kind of filter and I dare to say a strong one. IFI definitely creates the 3D dimension WOW effect, and blacker background. And is not expensive too. But. I find vocals more-less similar in texture and overall presentation is less airy. Combination of both, in my setup, effected in more fatiguing, analytical presentation that was hard to change down the chain and kept me thinking of what to do as a next step. I had this feeling I always miss some small parts of music content. I would continue my research for a different, this time linear power supply for my LPS-1. One is yet on my way. And yeah, one more thing. LPS-1 I use for powering SMS-200. Just share my observations.
  10. After listening session at Lampi office in Warsaw, comparing my beloved Level 4 gen5 with Atlantic (recti) and BIG7 – all balanced; I can say, to me, the choice depends on type of amplifier. Music from Atlantic and from BIG7 is to me simply ... different. DHT topology in dacs from the 7 line gives you analog presentation. Very subtle, gentle, natural but dynamic. Richness of musicality guaranteed. If you have a transistor amplifier this might be a great choice. But if you already have a tube amplifier, Atlantic can be better. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Need some more thoughts ? be my guest To all tube beginners: rolling tubes is fantastic !!! (I’m beginner too) Do not be affraid ! World of bottles is great and not so complicated ! For sure worth spending some time reading posts and sending messages to some friends from forum. As I play mostly from Tidal, DSD is for me not important at the moment. Upsampling in Daphile I find a bad idea. Not to my taste. In the end, I switched from Level4 to Lite 7+ (lite 7 with recti). It has been three days of playing until now. Sound signature is changing still. All the time I search for every moment to turn music ON. Łukasz is building fantastic gears, real gizmos ! My first Lampi was Amber. Second - Level 4. Now I have Lite 7+. The switching policy is really nice option.
  11. Hi Cornan, you know you are my inspiration, and you are always one step ahead Good to have you on the forum and thank you for all suggestions. I personally need to rest a little bit of making another changes, but I hope I will do some in the future. Meanwhile I just relax myself by my great sounding setup Enjoing DC Bloker (made by Tomanek) before Peaktech transformer. O, now I have two Peaktech transformers, as it is said, that for a safety reason you can supply only one gear out of the Peaktech transformer. So I have two; one for DAC and one for amplifier. Needles to say; with great results ) The feeling of 3D spaciousness is remarkable. And calrity. Also a bit of thinner presentation, but this is something that with my Dynaudio speakers I'm not worry about.
  12. Hi moussaobeid ! First of all, I built grounding box by myself. I use 2,5mm thick standard copper electric wires. I personally use about 3m long wire. 2 meters of that wire I switch into a spring and put it into a jar filled with bentonite. On the other side of the wire I put a spade for example if I want to connect it to the amplifier, or I try other options depending on where I want it be connected.
  13. I've posted it in other thread, but this thread seems to be the right place. Thanks to the mainly Conrans and John Swensons sposts, yesterday I got Peaktech 2240 transformer. It's only 500W, but it makes a real improvement with my amplifier (200W, klass A/B PASS INT150) and with my Lampizator DAC. The difference is actually quite amazing. Now, I'm going to eject schaeffner filter from my hifi grade power strip connected to audio dedicated power line. Connect the transformer to this line and switch a bare power stripe to the transformer (transformer has only one "in" and one "out" socket). To this power stripe I'm going to insert all my audio stuff as I have simple setup. It consists of amplifier, DAC, Ultracap LPS-1, Linear power supply for my router, and SMPS for my audio dedicated laptop. Thank you guys for all advises. Up to now it is great !

  15. The difference is that there is no current in USB cable. Of course I'm not sure about the effect in your system.
