Chris,

This is the best info on the subject I have found - and I've looked around! I am with you in strategy and methodology but hesitated to move from EAC to dbPoweramp. Db did seem to offer more features but EAC has been the gold standard. I have read in one periodical I respect (HiFi Critic) that EAC produced better rips than db but I have not put this to personal test. Have you? I also like making a FLAC image with a cue sheet as well as a working (listening) copy that is by file. This enables me to quickly make a copy of the original disc should I want to. I am using the Music Vault - very nice - which provides automatic backup giving me my three copies. I am toying with the idea of keeping an offsite copy of these files but have not implemented this as yet. I'd also like your comments on playback software: is there a difference between db, mediamonkey and foobar. I prefere foobar but this might be psychological as I've used it for so long and am quite found of it despite it's rather difficult user interface.
Again thanks this effort - you keep outdoing yourself!!
