  1. DMP-1 are available from most dealers on our list Dealers & Distributors — Audio Alchemy, but if you are having a problem finding one please email me off-line. [email protected]
  2. He is correct about what we did at the time, now we are both 3.3V and 5V tolerant.
  3. The DDP-1/DMP-1 do follow the connection protocol stated above. While never an official standard of any kind, other than chip-to-chip as described by Philips, we established the EXTERNAL use of the I2S over the 5-pin MiniDIN in the late 80's and it became the defacto standard of the time. The connection worked well and in an effort to maintain back-compatibility we support it today as the prefered connection between our components.
  4. DMP-1 is a ROON endpoint, so the PC Rexp uses in the beginning with his DDP-1 would be re-purposed as the ROON server when he adds the DMP-1.
  5. Hello, Rexp. It is an interesting question, it kind of depends on what your upgrade path timeframe looks like. If it is reasonably short-term I would probably do a DDP-1 now and use a PC as a source until you can add the DMP-1.
  6. How nice, thank you very much. DMP-1 has been in R&D for quite a long time, we wanted to be sure we got it right, and it is great to see our work is appreciated. Enjoy!
