  1. After activating volume control it seems my Aries uspsamples everything to 32 bits 44khz.. After I disabled the volume control again everything seems ok again.. MQA works and the blue dot is there, also with Tidal....
  2. It was the volume control in the streamer setup. I had enabled it but apparently that made it upsample everything to 32 bit 44 khz.. Ik disabled volume control again and it was ok after that. Even MQA on my Mytek Brooklyn dac works ok..
  3. I have a silly question. I have been experimenting with my settings on the Aries in the lighting app. But now my dac (mytek brooklyn) is fixed on 32 bit and the music sounds not as good as it should... I don't know how but I might have changed the upsampling settings????. But I can't find where I can change it back..................... I have no idea what i did wrong..... How can I change it back?
  4. Join the club? I recently found the mqa setting in my aries.. ?? but I only have the blue dot when i play 24/352 files from my external harddisk. With other 24 kbit mqa files the blue dot is not there. By the way, you can make steps with lps for both the aries (even a better one for the femto that I have) and brooklyn.
  5. I think you should ask him...because it depends....... https://www.computeraudiophile.com/profile/13173-kingpin/
  6. I only see now that Kingpin did mention his lps here himself.... I did not know that...
  7. I had someone who made it for me because i can't do it myself. It's made of a good but well known and more often used print together with al first class and expensive components. The maker is also making this... But I'm no expert so I can not say much more than this.
  8. I have a diy lps but I consider it top of the bill. The improvements were stunning, to me. ? Quite bigger than I expected. Imho it brought the brooklyn to another level. Not just a small improvement.
  9. Yes, only fools ard buying it.. ???? Just kidding.. ?
  10. If this is the case I would like to have the choice to adjust that myself, and not doing it automatically. I can't find it though in the settings of the lighting ds app. Still no idea..
  11. I have a problem that I had before when I used a Windows laptop for streaming. The bitrate on my brooklyn is fixed at 32 bit when playing with my Aries. I did not notice this because my display is shwitched of. So I can not say when it happened. With the cd player it is 16 bit but when I change to the Aries it's fixed at 32 bit again. I recently upgraded to firmware 2.32 and 2.34. I tried instaling the older firmware 2.22. It does not change. So I installed 2.34 again. Also recently the Aries got a firmware upgrade I believe. I'm puzzled? Anybody recognize this en solved it? Please Let me know.
  12. http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews2/pathos/open.png I have the mk I. The mk II had an inbuilt dac and with the brookyn you don't need that. And yes, the heatsink spells Pathos . Not Logos though... http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews2/pathos/open.png
  13. I use the XLR outputs of the brooklyn on mij Pahtos Logos. My xlr audioquest colorado is superior to my second best interlink, the RCA vd Hul integration hybrid. On my laptop and cd player without the jumpers there was magic with good recordings and hires material. Then i got the Auralic Aries femto and i got a serious overload and i could not play without the jumpers. But without the jumpers the brooklyn is definitely better than with the jumpers. I recently turned down the digital volume control on the Aries. It was 100%, now it is 91%. Apparently that reduces the output of the Aries into the brooklyn . I listened only once but I removed the jumpers and it seems that there is no overload anymore and it sounds better again without the jumpers.
