  1. I have been following this thread as well, I am working with the Audio Doctor in Jersey City, to get one of these dacs, great store with a lot of brands of digital, and the store owner, told me that that some of these folks must be confused. This is what the owner, Dave said: "A Dac works with whatever device is feeding it, it is the device that feeds the dac which must be compatible not the other way." At their shop, they use a Windows based computer and it sounds fantastic. It is just an ordinary Sony Vaio, I asked. Dave told me that in this one demo room, they couldn't get DSD 512 to work as the computer was too slow, so we played at some other sampling rate. Heard the big T+A PDP 3000 being fed off of a Batis Reference computer, into an all T+A system into a pair of Paradigm Persona 9H WOW! Here I did here DSD 512 and that was awesome, I don't know if it was the sampling rate or the Baetis, or the big T+A stack or the Personas, but this was an incredible sounding system. In terms of a micro rendu or another one of these devices it is my understanding that it is what needs to be compatible.
  2. I hang out at a great NJ dealer Audio Doctor we were discussing this piece as an upgrade to my system, My dealer got Jim Price Nad's director of sales on the phone, he has one of the first of these units in beta test, according to Jim the M32 actually sounds better than the previous separate and more expensive amp and preamp combo and with the addition of a blu sound card will easily match the Hegel in sound quality and betters it with the fantastic blue sound app. Audio Doctor has one on order I will let you know my impressions, I am really stoked by the M32 it is going to be a great product.
  3. Where did you get the dac from? Authorized?
