I have this recording and it is amazing.

My Teac NT-503 plays DXDs and DSDs (up to 2x) just fine. Still evaluating DACs that can do 4xDSD. What I like about 4x is that is pushes the quantization error far out of the audible range.

I have read that article on NativeDSD and they make a reasonable observation that the codecs might be what is the source of the effect. That said, my operating principle is that if ever hits PCM, then stay with PCM. So that would imply that I would always by the DXD when available... But I have to admit that DSDs just sound better on my system (mostly). The remastered jazz on 2xHD sounds awesome in 2xDSD (I can't play 4x yet). The Sundquist/Mortensen recording Tundra on Lawo in DXD is stunning.

Fumbled around forever with JRiver and was never able to get DSD over DLNA. USB worked fine. Was also able to get DSDs running on A+ via USB; but found the UI to be problematic. So then I tried Roon. Was able to get DSD (up to 128) in DoP; but also only via USB. Sigh. Would much rather stream DSD (and PCM of course) to the NT-503. Anyone have success with that? I will admit that Roon sort of sucked me in with the meta-data.

What settings did you use with JRiver? I have been struggling with my NT-503 and so far have gotten no sound at all! And I bought it to stream DSDs...
