  1. So ITunes plays any PCM file (as long as my DAC supports it)? It's only limitation is DSD which then I would need Audirvana or another DSD DoP software, and of course a DAC that supports dsd?
  2. My DAC doesn't have a way to tell what sample rate it is playing. It does however have software (looks like a DAW) that allows me to switch the sample rate to 192kHz. I have 19224 files loaded in iTunes and have my Apple audio setting to use my DACs drivers for output. Does this mean that my DAC should be playing native 192kHz and not down sampling to 96kHz? I heard over the Internet in various places that iTunes only allows up to 96kHz and some say the newer iTunes do even less. I assume this is with the built in sound card but with an external DAC and drivers, it should play 192khz? Thanks for helping me clear this up!
