  1. Detailed write-up is a 'nice to have' but the Iso Regen sounds like a 'must-have'. Just want to know when pre-orders open!
  2. Has anyone tried this product? Waversa audiophile grade switch and USB hub - claims to filter electric noise and reclock USB in one box; battery powered. Any opinions or listening impressions? Waversa Smart Hub — Waversa North America

Could a possible solution be a "don't show this window again" or "apply to all" check box when the first error or non-playback event happens kinda like when you try to copy multiple files and some files already exists, you get to choose if you want the message box to appear each time or just once and then the first selection is applied for each repeating instance. Of course, if it's Miska's design decision not to have a message pop up, then that's that. In any case, I'd appreciate (in the manual maybe) a list of filters with their compatible input sample rates and formats. Sent from my iPhone using Computer Audiophile
  4. Does anyone have stats and/or an opinion on how often this happens? Is this a rampant problem? Or is this something that "could" happen? I'm asking out of ignorance.
  5. I have a similar USB buzzing issue though in a different part of the chain. I recently purchased an Minix NEO Fanless PC (MINIX NEO Z83-4) to use as a HQ Player NAA. It comes with a 12v 3A switching power supply (planning to purchase a LPS later). When I connect the USB to the DAC, immediately a ground loop type buzz comes on. I've tried both a powered and a non-powered USB cable since my DAC has the Amanero board that doesn't need power from the USB. I also tried plugging the adapter into the HumX (which I had lying around from before) and the buzzing still shows up. Any suggestions on how to fix this (or if it's worth fixing) or should I just return the Minix and find a similar alternative? Oh - my DAC has no hum/buzzing issues when a different PC, Mac or the Sonore Microrendu is connected.
  6. Amanero's delay on this is really frustrating (or carefully calculated to create demand for their new rumored "superclock" board) if they haven't been able to get this sorted after a year! On the GitHub thread, there are ten's of other DACs that have added native DSD support on Linux during that time. I would urge Lampi and others who use the board to pressure Amanero to sort this out fast - i'd bet they are losing potential customers to other DACs like Holospring, etc that can do DSD256, DSD512 using HQPlayer and Microrendu or other Linux based streamers.
  7. Sorry for a stupid question but is there a way to do ABX testing like foobar using a Mac? Want to do the test but don't have a Windows system to install Foobar.
  8. They've acknowledged this bug and they'll fix it in build 194 sometime later today apparently. In the meantime, if you are using Roon and HQP on the same MacOS machine (this bug is on MacOS only), change the HQP address to a fixed IP of the machine instead of "localhost" - my Roon (noDSP)-->HQP (DSD128)-->MR-->DAC chain worked fine again after that change. HQP upsampling is way better than Roon PCM-->DSD conversion (not even close) to my ears. Processing speed was showing 1.8 to 2.1x in Roon, with HQP doing the upsampling, the processing speed in Roon is showing 1023x-1074x(!).
  9. See here - acknowledged bug. They'll fix it in tomorrows build it sounds like. https://community.roonlabs.com/t/roon-1-3-and-hqplayer-no-sound-after-update-fix-pending-for-b194/19324/14
  10. There was mention that Roon uses only one core per zone to up sample for now on the roon community and their upsample guide. That might be the reason.
  11. Same chain here except Lampi with the damn Amanero instead of the Holo DAC. I wanted to check the upsampling in Roon 1.3 so I set MR as RoonReady endpoint and tried to setup the DSP Engine to do PCM-->DSD but I don't get DSD as an option at all - I think (a guess) this has to do with the MR-->Amanero requiring DoP. Now, I've got a bigger issue, my Roon (DSP Engine disabled)-->HQP-->MR-->Lampi chain is messed up and I can't get HQPlayer to see any content coming from Roon 1.3. Normally, when Roon outputs to the HQP Zone, one row in the lower window in HQP turns grey, now I just get blank, no sound and the Roon song progress is stuck at 0:00.
  12. Are you using MR as the Roon Endpoint and does your DAC support Native DSD on Linux? I ask because I don't get DSD an a pull down option at all. I just see Custom, For Compatibility Only, Max PCM Rate and Max PCM Rate (Power of 2).
  13. I did see your post above. My DAC can do it - I use it every day with HQPlayer and MR. I think the issue is that the MR does not support Native DSD on the Lampi Amanero board; it supports DoP which is why I don't see a "DSD" option under Sample Rate.
  14. I can get upsampling 44.1 PCM to 385k PCM but don't see any way to convert 44.1 PCM to DSD128. I'm using Roon --> Microrendu --> Lampi DAC chain. In the DSP settings for the rendu, I can select "Custom" in Sample Rate Conversion and then Linear Phase or Minimum Phase. Below that I see several (input?) PCM and DSD rates to selectable (output?) PCM rates. The output rates don't show me any DSD choices. I'm likely missing something. Can anyone help?
